I don't have drive space, but you're more than welcome to park on the road outside my house for the night, it's in a cul de sac ..
Just north of Peterborough, but I suspect not far enough on the way...

No curfew.
No overnighting either... but that, I'm sure that only applies to leisure.
...otherwise truckies would be stuffed.

Oops sorry just seen you posted the answer !
If the manager is hacked am I correct then all your passwords are compromised ?
Probably but I've been using Google Autofill for several years and never had a problem. It's probably more secure than any system I could set-up.

M’y Apple Mac saves the passwords which is fine unless I lose it and someone manages to log in lol

I don’t think you will have any problems at all on the journey home. Clearly you cannot be expected to do it non stop. I wouldn’t worry about it if I were you.

Friday is not normally the best day to travel due to weekenders, but that doesn’t apply at the moment.

I expected you to be going north on the M11 and A1,but I guess you’ve done both routes in the past.

So when i arrive back in the uk tomorrow i have 518 miles to do and an 8.5 hour journey not accounting for traffic or delays etc . Whats the situation like there at present? Am i going to get hassled if i park up somewhere overnight to break up the journey? I know i cant do that distance without stopping at least 2 or 3 times. Im pretty sure the police if stopping me will understand that tiredness kills etc but im more concerned about public perception if i stop over somewhere quiet and out the way.
We just travelled from Lincolnshire to Stirling (essential) over a few days and stayed overnight in discreet and not so discreet spots no problem.

Given your penchant for bright orange, discreet ::bigsmile: ?
Have you pm'd Tam some suggestions?

I've noticed that a few local pubs have still allowed people to use their car park despite the pub being closed. Might be worth a look on S4S and phoning ahead. Would attract less attention than "wild" I would think.

Well i drove round lidl at cite europe earlier to grab a few extra supllies and to get rid of my left over Euros ....not any larger parking spaces here but not wanting to take up 2 or 3 spaces i reversed in to a space with the overhang over the grass ....had only just switched off engine when 2 security guys in a wee van pull up and start gibbering in french about grande this and grande that .... i did my best del boy impression and just said ah oiu going to shop guvner ...after him repeating himself 3 times and me just shaking head and saying no ...he shook his head mumbled something abusive and buzzed off ....i went in shop and 2 minutes later 2 big police men come in and headed straight for me lol ...i was expecting a mouthful and told to move van but they must have just been shopping ...

Wasn't like there was anywhere else to blooming park anyway ..

I then filled up with diesel expecting it to be extortionate here in cite europe but was pleasantly surprised at only €1.36L

So im now parked in the pet passport car park where i plan to spend the night.

Theres quite a few immigrants wandering around though so ill have to make sure i check van out in morning incase ive any hangers on .

Pizza and cake for tea tonight

When are you going to your Lidl reviews. Based on countries visited mate. 😷
I hope you don’t have any problems at the border crossing coming back into the uk. And o hope you have a pleasant drive home to start your quarantine Stirling style 🤪🤡👍😷

How about giving these a ring

Its amazing how many uk registered vans come in here each with like 10 or so dogs in transit ....i think thats 14 ive seen now just since 3.30 ish

I also watched an immigrant trying the doors on a sprinter van with a car on a trailer...seen him dissapear round the back of the van and not appear again the whole time the owner was in passport place... So i shouted to the owner when he came out to check his van ..lo and behold the car doors were open and the guy was crouched down in the back ..just aswell i have milo the rottweiler that barks if a fly goes past. Seems these buggers are still trying it on.

Doesn't sound like a very good place to stop. Should have stayed where you were the dogs could have had more nice walks there.

It’s not uncommon to have German plates. My cousin has a garage business in Düsseldorf and German plates in Ro with his business also a flat bed in Germany with Ro plates. Go figure, he can operate and work anywhere in EU, despite having vehicles registered with the business in different countries. The base remains as Düsseldorf.

I wonder if they are dogs rescued for rehoming in the UK?
I wouldn't be surprised.
Unfortunately "Rescue Dogs" from Eastern Europe is more of a business these days rather than animal welfare charity...

Most are feral dogs, it’s been going for some time. Re homing in Ro is inexistent, and they bread out of control in big towns like Bucharest. All the lorry Parking places, supermarkets, parks, markets etc, you will see them. Bucharest been affected bad and they had to take drastic measures. Looks like they found a way.

Because of lockdown and so many people working from home the demand and prices for dogs has gone sky high.
Good money to be made by bringing dogs in from cheaper countries.
Just hope they are well bred and healthy.

Richard.
Been happening a long time before covid unfortunately.
They'll arrange a transfer at a motorway services somewhere - some believable excuse why you can't collect - the animal's welfare is not a priority...
Used to be strays hoovered up from the streets, so no idea of their history.
Now the puppy farms banned in the UK have relocated.

Plenty of UK dogs need rehoming without resorting to Eastern Europe.

Trouble is, Animal Rescue Charity is now big business.

I have to say most of the ones ive seen getting carried in and out here have been german shepherds , bull terriers etc ...and most are not pups ...but the one with the german shepherds had about 8 of them and none would walk willingly on the lead he was dragging or lifting them ...one at a time in and out the office
