Tam and Toby ~~ Hunting Zorba .....Take two.

Oh do tell . How does that work ?

as a good example and there are several look up / google Lastpass. try it its free under certain conditions which is suitable for a large number of peoples uses.

you create an account, and a master password. then each time you loginto one of your accounts it asks you if you want it to remember your login details, accept yes and next time it will auto put the details in for you. until it knows all your passwords.

there is more it will do but that is a good start .

Oh Please! the uk cant even make this part simple ..

So youve to book these bloody tests before you arrive ....you would think it would be a one simple press a button to order tests but no you've to pick one of w list of suppliers ...first 2 ive clicked on says no appointments available ???? What the feck does that mean ? Idont need an appointment its a bloody self test .
The next one says out of stock please try later ..

How complicated does this need to bloody be ?

I filled in the fench form in 2 seconds ...the uk one i cant fill in without booking these tests and its as complicated as every other stupid uk rule

As for the rules they are quite ridiculous ...im not allowed to walk my dog or go to a supermarket but i can go to a post office to return a test 🤔

Completely pointless

Pugsy which supplier did you use and do you by

I used this one . It was the only one availible when i booked, you now have various choices. I think prices might vary now. I paid €210 and have had no probs with the service, got 2nd neg result today and allowed out tomoz. Sorry hope my reply is nit to late, good luck.👍.
Cheers Cris.
Just back tracked the post and seen you have it sorted, safe trip .

Going to try for an earlier train?
Was under the impression that if it was quiet Eurotunnel weren't averse to you requesting this without penalty?
Would give you more time to spend at Lenny HB ;)
Nah ...my train is at 10.20 tomorrow morning which gets me to Folkestone at 09.55 which is a good time to arrive... And by the time i do my dog checks and check in etc that's early enough for me.
If i moved it to today it would have to be this afternoon/ evening which isnt a great time to arrive in uk with a 500+ mile drive home to do ...so im just going to take it easy today ...give the dogs a good walk as they've not had a good run around for a few days due to all the driving fill up with diesel again ... pick up a little shopping and then just relax for a day before another long day tomorrow.

That said i have plenty to keep me amused when home....ive a new exhaust , rear brakes , lambda sensor to fit on the car and a patch of welding to do so its ready for MOT. Ive also to check out the vario and see if its good enough for converting and if yes remove all the rear seats and mot it as a van with windows and get it re registered as such ....if its not good enough ive the rust patches to clean up and resell it. Ive also the oil to change on toby and investigate the abs light which seems to come on and off randomly so must be a dodgy wire or something.

10 days won't be enough

Well that's officially the most expensive vet ive ever used €72.60 to worm 2 dogs .

At least dick Turpin wore a mask

Last time it was €44
Which vet was that then please, so we can avoid them.

Doth protest too much.... you'd love me to visit really but sadly I can't this time as I've to go straight home and lock myself up for 10 days only allowed out to the post office 🤣
We even have a post office within 200yds.

Partly my own fault as i should have asked the price on the phone but having not paid more than €46 previously i never in my wildest dreams expected that much of a difference.

Friendly practice and vet spoke good english but the price is too much and im pretty sure it was made up on the spot as there was a lot of discussion between the vet and 2 receptionists prior to me being told the price and i received no receipt or invoice.

But given all the other paperwork tests etc ive had to do over last few days i just wanted it done and good to go so i paid without arguing.
But i do feel ripped off

See you're trying to sell it to me 😉 its apparently a priority mail box ive to use which ill have to check where my nearest one is ....also my day 2 falls on a sunday

My test place is in yorkshire as i couldn't find any on that site that was scottish ...so if i take a test on day 2 and day 8 i probably wont get my results till days 4 and 10

Edit

After checking royal mail it seems the one in my street is a priority box so thats cool.

Oh

On another note ....i must have seen 30 + motorhomes yesterday here in france and only one did i see with those ridiculous angle's mort stickers on it ....a large tag axle with them slapped on each front door.... absolute eyesore as they are about a4 sized.

I saw them on most artics but not all and on a few busses ...never saw any on vans of various sizes.

They are only required in urban areas and if you look up the French definition of Urban areas they are quite large towns.

I truly hate the digital age

What the above really says is create a password thats going to be really really difficult to remember so you can raise your blood pressure when you have to enter it at a very stressful time.
I think a completely blank password is not really advisable anyway.

I hope you realise that they don't use swabs in Yorkshire. They used specially trained ferrets. Make sure they apply the lube (dripping) as it can be uncomfortable.

The reviews say it all, anyone who can afford to stay at Centre Parks ain't going to be worried about a few extra bob at the vets.

google suggests and saves my passwords nowadays is this not a good idea?
Maybe... Not read up on Google password management offering.

What's its security comparison to say lastpass.
I may have a look...

So when i arrive back in the uk tomorrow i have 518 miles to do and an 8.5 hour journey not accounting for traffic or delays etc . Whats the situation like there at present? Am i going to get hassled if i park up somewhere overnight to break up the journey? I know i cant do that distance without stopping at least 2 or 3 times. Im pretty sure the police if stopping me will understand that tiredness kills etc but im more concerned about public perception if i stop over somewhere quiet and out the way.

I don't have drive space, but you're more than welcome to park on the road outside my house for the night, it's in a cul de sac ..
Just north of Peterborough, but I suspect not far enough on the way...
