Tam and Toby ~~ Hunting Zorba .....Take two.

Ive a couple of questions ....these 2 tests i have to order ...are they just throat swabs? And how do you return them?
Hi Tam, they are throat and nose swabs.they are delivered to your address and you return them via a priority post box(you are allowed out to do this) or you can arrange a courier to pick them up.
One problem i had was ,you need a 10 digit confirmation order code to register them online, my code was only 8 digits. I had to call the number on the booklet provided with the test kit and register it over the phone, got the results next day by text.

This 5 min video shows you the type and how to do the test.

Safe travels.
Cheers Cris.

AH, it says they are the only 2 options.

But I'll have another search see what I can find

Scroll down a bit on the Web page I believe it says it does tests. The finger prick test I think.

Good luck

So whats the situation these days with french speeding fines?
I got a bloody camera flash 73kmph in a 70kmph

Are you sure it was for you, not someone overtaking you? Thought you 10% leeway in the UK

No problem you are allowed 5 kph, if you had been doing 78 you would get done for 73, that's the way they do it.
Also since Brexit I don't believe DVLA are passing on details anymore.

Don't think that is so in France... They keep changing the speed limits so you are never sure what is the limit on the road you are on rural roads in France.

Yes it was literally 70km for about 50 feet didn't notice it till last-minute

I don't think there is any leeway. The leeway is in your own speedo reading high. I once got done it Wales for doing 33 in a 30. I queried the margin for error and got nowhere.

Like others say though they'll probably look at the reg and not bother, especially with it being so marginal anyway.

Like Lenny says, I wouldn't be worrying too much.

If this helps there is a vet at Guignicourt that you dont need to book and speaks english, 10 mins max off motorway at J14 A26, there is also an Aire on the edge of town ( if its open ) as you go into town up a small street to the left.

its about 250 kms to The shuttle terminal ( on the motorway ) from there.

last time i was there the vet opens in the late afternoon at around 1700 hrs. you turn up and wait your turn in whatever que there is. There was 2 of us last time.

Guignicourt,

also Supermarket fuel just around the corner from the vets.
Ok im near guignicourt but cant see an aire ...just 2 picnic spots but grass and its raining ...any ideas?

I can’t see one in guignicourt on p4n. There’s one at Berry-au-Bac but it’s just services, no parking.
edit: there’s an area close to it which is labelled aire de camping car parc
