Tam and Toby ~~ Hunting Zorba .....Take two.

Tam you asked about somewhere to stay the night before your train, you could go to Gravelines or there's a couple of spaces at Route du Pont d'Oye, 62215, Oye-Plage which is between Gravelines & Calais and it's free.

There’s a free aire at Sangatte, 10 minutes from the tunnel or you could probably get away with stopping in the car park at Auchan at St. Martins, just outside of Boulogne.

Richard.

Also a free Aire at Grand Fort Philip.
Will need to be free, at the rate he spending money he will be broke by the time he reaches Calais. As you probably know Tam French Toll Roads are very expensive, only necessary if in a rush to get from A to B.

Be realistic, what FLT in their right mind would use a French Toll road.

Yes im hoping to avoid the french toll roads ... Looking back at 2019 i went from here susa to greenoble with no tolls up through the mountains and ski resorts ...but that was 29th april ....ive tried googling to make sure they are all open this time of year but don't get much results. Then its about 10 hours driving non toll from greenoble to calais apparently which ill break up over 2 days

I really need help now, last night I had a dream about Tam.
Just got on to motorway and my abs and my asr lights have come on the dash .... couldn't have done it in greece when i had all the time in the world to investigate and fix it ....no instead it waits till i have things booked ... Will most likely be some broken wire or sensor or a fuse somewhere but annoying just the same.

Definitely coming now Lenny HB 😉

, I used this aire in November last year returning from France , near gravelines , 10miles east of Calais, Camper contact , 62215 , oye-plage

i see scousebird beat me to it ☹️ , BUT a good choice

Hi Tam , I hope you have got mum a nice gift on your return . Also have you sent her a nice Mother’s Day message ? You know it makes sense 😇😇

Mine went out for a bit when i moved on again but as soon as i got on motorway they were back on ..ill check it out when im back home ...i do wonder if ive a sticky brake though as it does pull sometimes and im going through a fair bit of fuel
I’m sure you don’t need me to tell you that after a run feel the wheel hubs and feel how hot they are... you’ll know what happens when brakes or hubs burn out.....🤔

im pretty sure it doesnt have abs .
Yes it does. It is as others have said mounted down by the chassis rail on passenger side & your support bar was damaged when that front bumper was before you had it. I remember looking at it to see whether it was as rusty as Paul Badknee s was as he wanted a new cover/support?

Thats right i remember that....weird though as it don't appear to work ... certainly not like any other motor ive had with abs ...usually feel it pulse when heavy braking ..anyway theres obviously something not right with it but will have a look when im home ..

I`ve never felt mine pulsing either but probably because neither of us has braked so hard that wheels are on the point of locking up.
That would probably result in the contents of your fridge, lockers and the pups ending up on the dashboard.

I’m pretty sure mine pulsed (oooer missus) when going down a grassy slope at Bempton Cliffs earlier this year. 2006 Fiat x244. If on a dry road you’d have to be braking very heavily to empty your cupboards to make it work,I reckon.

I am thinking of going there when we can travel to see the Puffins, any recommendations ? is the grass slope compulsory, I hope not lol.
We stayed at a Mold Farm,a private site. It had rained heavily the morning of our arrival,so the grass slope was a bit daunting but was not a problem. Basically it’s like a CL i.e. limited facilities but it’s ideal for puffins if you go at the right time. We were too late to see them, but the Gannets were enough. Also ideal for walking, and Flamborough Head.
Then we went down to Spurn Point and stayed on the scruffy little CL linked to the bird Observatory, next to a decent pub. Loads of twitchers but worth going. Enjoy!
