Just to add make sure the 1euro test payment has gone through ok before you use it. We got a Fuilli for our second trip, was a bit of a nightmare to get it set up as none of our bank accounts were compatible, thought had sussed it by opening a HSBC euro account and then got to France and it didn't work, which was a bit stressful. I think it was due to the first test payment not working then it needed to do it again when I opened a different account and updated my details but it didn't. Anyway we sent it back on return but then after doing Spain/Portugal next trip thought it would have been handy to have in Portugal rather than registering online with them so decided to have another go for our last trip and it was a case of 3rd time lucky! The Italy invoices took ages to appear though!

Yes, see post #73. Waited a few hours then it went through no problem. I have received a copy of the direct debit mandate by email, but no money has been taken yet to pay for the postage.

What do you mean by test payment? I assume the first payment is for postage.

Fulli have just responded to my question.

They do not accept subscription by any credit card. They need a bank account with an IBAN from a bank that accepts the SEPA system, so Santander UK is a no go ☹️

Particularly on the APs from Bilbao to Valencia/ Alicante please.
When we go to Costa Blanca we usually go to Santander ( so the west of Bilbao ) and cut through the mountains on the A68/AP68 and there were a couple of small charges ( cash or card ) from toll booths . There is then a larger charge 15/20 euros to just outside Zaragoza ,again toll booth cash or card . We then take the A23 ( toll free )to Valencia . Then on to the AP7 along the coast to the Benidorm turn ,again all toll free . Plenty of aires and fuel stops along the way . We last returned in the beginning of July 24 so I don`t know if anything has happened since then . So far as bill paying goes I always use a credit card with auto clearance every month and most work fine and give excellent daily exchange rates but beware of some ( Lloyds in particular ......awful ! Used once never again ). Hope this information is of use to you
Have a great time .

I see on the instructions to mount the tag on the area of the screen that has the black hatchings on next to the mirror.

A pal of mine in Ireland just puts his tag onto the top of his dash and only when going through a toll (Ireland/Dublin area). The rest of the time the tag is in his glovebox.

Would that work in Spain please? Not sure I really want a tag permanently on the screen

It’s to ensure the DD facility is working with your nominated bank account before the tag is used in anger. They’ll do a trial €1 transaction and if it fails then you’ll need to find an alternative account/bank that will work. My initial one with the Halifax failed so I opened a Revolut account and have had no issues since then.

My tag is just on the dash top in the tray thing. Not a problem for the past 6 years.

but no money has been taken yet to pay for the postage.
They do not take it straightaway.

They test with a 1€ amount. This is then deducted from the first payment.
With mie They took the test payment on 4th december & the remaining 13,90€ on the 16th december.they send you an eail inadvance to ley you know.

To my knowledge no bank can "refuse" to be in the SEPA system?the UK is a member of the SEPA system
therefore santander cannot refuse a request.Make a complaint here.

Following this thread, I have set up a Revolut account today, which I can load from my Santander debit card. The Revolut a/c has an IBAN number, so I have used it to pay for a Fulli tag, and have loaded it with £ changed to €; I think Rachel from accounts will sink the pound in the next few months.

In all, it took me about an hour. I was stumped at one point, before I realised that a box I didn’t understand was the van’s registration plate. I’m now waiting for the Fulli tag and a Revolut plastic card!

I did find when I signed up for mine you have to slide the terms and conditions to the bottom and even though there is no actual tick box at the bottom it then allowed me to move to the next step.

This just landed on Facebook... don't know how accurate it may be....but it's worth a minute of anyone's time just to read it, believe it or ignore it...

Yes, I saw that, but please bear in mind the amount of 'promises' this communist regime have already broken since they came to power. You cannot trust them or believe a single word they say, so don't hold your breath.

Barrie, are you referring to Spanish or U.K. government there - or both!;)

We are currently travelling down from La Jonquera to Benidorm on the AP7, which was previously toll. It is free all the way down to Alicante, whereupon a small stretch becomes toll again.
The A7 is still currently toll free all the way along it's length.

HTH,

Jock. :)
Hi Jock

Did you stay at La Jonquera ?

Hi Jock

Did you stay at La Jonquera ?
Yes Andy, in the large car park behind the Shopping Mall. The top end is always full of MHs.

At The Parrot Turtle Services about 200 x yards away, you can empty and refill for free if buying diesel, otherwise there is a charge.

Cheers,

Jock. :)

We have had an Emovis Tag in our 5.25T Kontiki Tag axle and have never been charged more than class 2 in France.

I suspect that is because it is the low-line version which is just under 3 meters tall. So as the system doesn't see a vehicle over 3 meters tall, it just charges class 2. It doesn't go as far as to weigh it, nor count the number of axles (as it doesn't for larger cars or 4x4's towing single or twin axle caravans, almost all of which have a total train weight far exceeding 3.5T).

Technically, you aren't supposed to use any of the widely available tags in a vehicle over 3.5T in France, but conveniently I don't recall reading that bit :censored: (plead ignorance... while stating that it wasn't a problem when we had a 4x4 and caravan, where both weighed over 6 tonnes lol).

We are just about to move over to Fuli though, as Emovis doesn't support Italy and you have to have a separate tag for Spain/Portugal - Whereas Fuli is just one tag for all.

The French are doing away with toll booths
And have tolls on a overhead gantry
So we tag axel van will so be paying a higher rate. All good things come to a end

No VPN, have ticked the 'accept conditions' box on page 2 but still can't move to the next step! Very confusing and infuriating so am going to go for Emovis

When you put all your IBAN details in they take a 1 euro test payment to ensure it all works. This is then deducted off your first invoice. Nothing to do with postage this is paid for on ordering and you can use your card for that. Once your card arrives you activate it and from memory this is when you supply your bank details too. (IBAN)

Nope, as my application was progressing I had to enter my bank details it has all gone through they have taken the 1 euro but I have not as yet been asked for any payments for postage. Be interesting to see if the card turns up, it's not due until the 21st will keep the group posted.
