Should you be allowed to cook bacon outside in the morning?

Up 'ere in t'North, we have a big full English breakfast in a very large bap, known colloquially as a 'bin lid'. None of this plates, knife and fork nonsense

Breakfast in a bun (albeit a big breadcake) is what that’s called round ere

Looked in my fridge earlier today trying to decide what to have. 2 thin steaks and an open pack of bacon both needed to be eaten today.
So steak, with bacon and melted cheese over the top, with a small dollop of tomato sauce. It was delicious...

One of my new favourite meals.

I'll be the voice of dissent. You shouldn't cook bacon outside in the morning. It should be sausages

to accompany the bacon, beans, mushrooms and toast/hash browns

We have a roadside butty wagon parked just up the road from us and he does a big breakfast roll in a whole french stick with all the bits apart from beans £7.00 i had it once and it takes a lot of eating needed a sleep after 4 rashers 4 sausages 4 black pudding lots of mushrooms 4 eggs 4 hash browns and fried onions brown sauce and it was lovely.

Hash browns, urghhh, whilst I like Americans & some yank food doesn’t this make a mockery of a proper British breakfast, what’s the matter with proper fried potatoes?

That sounds like my perfect breakfast. I despise baked beans with a passion. There really are not fit for adult human consumption. Right up there with ice cream, and strawberries. Horrible all of them.

Yuck, unsalted butter for me, bacon should be left untreated, like fried egg sandwich but hard boiled eggs are the work of the devil.

I was with a colleague of mine the other day out for brunch and he ordered a latte with a bacon sandwich!! Really I said you want a latte??? Why not go the whole nine yards and have a mug of Horlicks!!!
Needless to say he dined alone!

That would have been me, definitely latte and Horlicks if available and the bacon must be really, really well done such that you can snap it.

I've said this before but am I the only none ocd sane and tolerant person on here ? If you want your food with red sauce, brown sauce, mayo, salad cream, Tabasco or any other accompanying sauce... Go for it, and enjoy

Remember when bacon used to be nice? We go for dry cured nowadays but it's still sometimes like cardboard

Bacon should be an easy thing to cook……but I find it difficult.
Bacon nowadays is full of water, even the dry cure isn’t brilliant, I usually end up with a wadge of kitchen towel in the tongs mopping up the liquid from the pan.
I bought some bacon the other week from a small village shop, twice the normal price but it was from a Butcher and hardly any liquid came out and it tasted fantastic!
