Love the new photo Carol! Leaning a little!! Is it windy or you've been partaking lots of whiskey samples!Just a thought I've changed my avatar so any Funsters traveling around Scotland should be able to spot my rather Red Hair, lol, and say hello
The photos are brilliant Carol - hope you're continuing to have a lovely time xx
Can't believe they've been taken on an old phone - they are beautiful photos! Have fun at the festival - no dancing on tables mind......Thanks Gerri, I am amazed they come out as they do I only take them on my old Motorola Phone.
Off to Portree again tomorrow as we have been told there is a Music Festival on, so we will go and see what it is all about.
There used to be a campsite at the end of the village but it closed shortly after the Hamish Macbeth TV series, gorgeous place and scenery with palm trees growing along the front. The cows were extremely intelligent by invading the campsite across cattle grid designed to defeat them. Don't know if it has changed now Carol but there was quite a long arduous one lane drive to it with only a few passing places a bit like the run to Mallaig?Re Plockton, there's a large car park on the sea front where you can park in the day, but it says no overnight, but we were told by the locals it was fine to stop which we did , but it's up to you to chance it or not. It's strange the very nice local hotel acts as the public toilet as there is not one in the village, it also has good internet. We have been on the beach there in September picking Blackberry's on the beach. It's in the gulf stream so the temperature can be quite mild. It's a really quaint place.

Vin
seems only yesterday, but that was around 1987You haven't been to Mallaig for a while then how well we remember the caravan meets fish lorry 2 hour delays been there done that, it is now like driving up the A1, three lanes in places
Too much change IMO, but no traffic issues anymore
Meant to ask earlier in thread, did you walk to Portree from camp site or is there room to park? last time we went into the town we were in a car
