Can’t sit in the van as it’s too hot and didn’t sleep much last night as it was warm … sat on the front cafe having my mint tea…
It’s a right desert sand storm although these pics won’t show it…

Smiffy, a desert sand storm can be called a Shamal if you didn't already know.

Any fan will help evaporate your sweat therefore cooling you down, regardless of the air temperature, a bit like blowing on hot food or liquid, the breath you breath out is warm (approx 98.6°f or 37°c) but yet it still cools the food or liquid that we're blowing onto....
When you captain boats around the world you learn all this rubbish for possible changes in sea states caused by warm or cool winds 😉

Got onto a site in Blanes, on the front so a nice sea view of sorts leccy included and I paid for Wi-Fi as I wanted to do some updates that can only be done on Wi-Fi….

Anyway nice long shower is called for so off we trot to the block and light sensor comes on as you walk in and right at the end is the disabled shower, undressed push button for hot water, warm up steel seat get on and one of the steel slats broke and I nearly collapse through the seat. Bugger I thought but balanced myself and soap up and the Fiddlesticksing light goes off…🤬 it was absolutely pitch black as I was right at the end of the block, couldn’t even find the push button when the water stopped…
Place is deserted so no rescue forthcoming.

I eventually get rinsed off and get back into my chair and go outside the cubicle and start waving around and yelling like a banshee in case the lights might be sound activated also…😆 lights come on and I go and finish up… sat outside waiting for Cintia and her lights stay on for the duration..😒

Back at the van and tried doing my updates and Wi-Fi is crap… half an hour later at 8.30 the electricity trips..

Anyway a lovely sunrise this morning as I was woken by the dripping of water (dew) from the trees on top of van… will go for a nice long walk along the front….☀️😎

We parked up on one of the side streets off the main road in - just for the day - so a short walk in to the medina. Carrefour was rammed yesterday afternoon, French and German mainly. We stayed last night at Moulay Bouzarqtoune a little further north of Essaouira on guardian parking for 20MAD - nice little spot right on the beach.

Yeah was all good cheers, if we had known you were off to Penis-cola, then try going past Eden turn left and park outside sports complex in car park we always stay there but marina is good.

Run out of fruit so may venture into town tomorrow, looks like getting a taxi in because of the hill up and it’s only 20d apparently so hopefully will have some pictures for you all…

Camp Wi-Fi is sporadic at times but I’ve got my booster set up and it helps, especially when the blinds are shut…

Well it weren’t too bad last night, couldn’t leave the skylight open as gusts would pick it up and bang open so had to close it, don’t want to lose that out here…cant really have any doors or windows open as it’ll be a sand pit in here..😆

The wind is supposed to die down this afternoon so then I’ll be able to have the skylights open and all will be good once more..

It really does feel like a hot summers day like in the uk here… won’t complain too much..😉

Will leave going into town today until tomorrow now, it’s not much fun grinding sand on your teeth.. probably go and watch the waves and surfers…☀️😎

We are at Phi Phi beach near cadiz and its very windy too, was a hard drive down from sevilla. It's about 21c here but a bit hazy.
