Run to the sun….

Which does leave us with the question of how one identifies honesty, doesn't it?

(Not necessarily disagreeing with you, just that the whole question does very quickly become quite complicated.)
It's like everything really it's how you personally perceive it to be
I can only comment on my own personal experiences here, others may have had different experiences

I perceive the world to be flat and I've got all these people arguing with me about it all the time. Are we both right? It would be a great comfort to me to know that my truth is just as good as theirs.

Don't listen to the arguing people, and if you feel that you are right then be happy about that, you don't need outside influences to comfort you, what you perceive is your own personal feeling and no one should interfer with that

Another blue sky day and nice and warm, gets a bit boring this predictable weather….😆☀️😎
Bet your glad your not back home apparently the weather is quite bad

Having bought loads of fruit and veg over our last 2 trips l now have the hang of it. You take the large plastic bowl and fill it up. They weigh it and it will be a minimum of 20dh (£1.80) up to 30dh if we've added some avocados or bought several kgs of oranges or clems. The thing not to do is just buy one pepper and a tomato as it will still cost 20dh 🤣I think it's amazing value and no idea if they charge less to locals but I'm very happy to pay a tourist tax if that's the case as these people are incredibly poor compared to us.

As Cintia was picking her fruit a bloke came up and picked up one avocado held out his hand with a load of change in it and the stall holder took 1dh…..😳

Could have been someone he knew but didn’t look like it…🤔

I think they charge a tad more for tourists but still cheap enough.
We were on a roadside stop and was going to buy some fruit . We selected what we wanted and went to the couple in charge .husband and wife. She said a price but the husband upped it so we put it all back . A mighty row erupted between rhem.you sometimes have to walk away.

You wouldn’t want to be on the wild Atlantic way at the moment!

Front and back fence is down from the last storm… but my neighbours are keeping an eye on the place and they’ll let me know…🤞🏼

Hope you’re home has weathered the storm Paul I believe your place is well in the eye of the storm 😳
Yea it's very bad at home, all the power is out everywhere, the boy that looks after my place was on WhatsApp to me earlier and so far everything is fine, but he said he's never witnessed wind as strong as it is now, and it can get very bad where we are sometimes

I'm sure they have a pricing hierarchy.

Local person I could encounter on the streets at any time = X
Rich Moroccan from the city on a visit = 2X
European tourist = 3X
European tourist with an attitude = 5X

Last seen heading towards Kansas! :ROFLMAO:
I shouldn't laugh but if I get serious damage I'll have to fly back to Ireland and sort stuff out with the insurance which would be a bit of a bollocks 🤔
Wonder if Ryanair fly out of Casablanca or Marrakech! 🤣

Here's hoping for no damage. My neighbours will also let me know if we get any damage. I'm hoping next doors incredibly huge trees are still standing. No electricity across inishowen.

Is it not Valencia for Ryanairs North African service?

Apparently a wind speed of 114 mph was recorded then the machine! Broke! 🤭
I was just on a call with my manager in NI, he can see the sea from his house and said it looks a bit ruff!
Having just chatted about them being 'record winds' he then said he'd never seen anything like it, I guess that's why he's a manager! 😂 😂

I've never yet had it that cheap at any of these veg stalls. The 2 other brits here say the same so it must help you speaking French or something as I got charged 57dh today for like 8 oranges and 6 kiwi fruit.

And I don't think any of these businesses are poor , I think their customers are the poor ones . I think the businesses make a good living

I don't mind haggling for souvenirs , jelsbas, sandals all that jazz but I ain't haggling over fruit and veg lol.

The other bit that annoys me is the short changing.

I bought a something the other day . 20dh he said I handed him 50 and got 20 change lol

Not gonna get upset over 10dh but It happens a fair bit and it's just annoying.

The amount of veg I bought in the marjane for a fiver was unreal ....so personally if the price is gonna be inflated buying local I'll buy from the supermarket instead.

They generally weigh it, but they usally have a look see what you have in there.

I agree with CaptainPaul i think they're mostly honest but can convince themselves that tickling a bit more out of rich tourists is ok. Tbf we must seem incredibly wealthy to them.

That's one of the reasons I don't really fancy Maroc, can't be bothered with all that haggling bollox ?

The wife's trying to return a jumper she bought online (said it was a Brit based company, but it's obviously Chinese) first they wanted an email why she was returning it and to include photos. Done that so next they offer her 10% off if she keeps it. We're now up to 30% off if she hangs on to it.
I've replied we want a full refund plus an extra 30% for all the admin they're making us do !
If they'd been truthful about the quality of it in the first place, we could have saved each other a lot of hassle !

I’ve had that a few times, I just say I’ll open a case with eBay then… end result is usually a full refund and keep it…😆

That's part of the reason I often prefer buying directly from Amazon (rather than one of the marketplace sellers on Amazon). Simpler dispute resolution and return procedures.

Very similar to when we had the 'gota fria' in 2012,The 5 different water inflow recording devices at the reservoir above Lorca were recording flow rates of 3 billion litres per second when the flow destroyed them all.Similar happened recently with the Dana in Valencia.

sure I read last night that they were forecasting that this would be the worst storm recorded in Ireland since records began .
