Thanks, asfaik thats Tiz n tich, and not one for 2wd motorhomes.

Why not? We’re planning on driving Tizi n’Tichka in a couple of days from Ouarzazate to Marrakesh.
Jackie drove over Tizi n’Test and although it was unsurfaced where they were repairing it she managed fine.

Though out the evening and night I had 3 different guys saying they were the guardian parking and wanted 30d but I kept saying it’s a free carpark mate as the sign says and do one. There must have been some do on somewhere new as the carpark filled up and loads of noise then got it all again at 1am when they finished, then about 2.30am car pulls up close to the van van so sat up looking out and two older guys in a big Audi having a few beers and cops turn up and have a chat with the guys drinking who were obviously pissed and staggering gave the copper some money and he drove off… they then chucked bottles across carpark, pissed on some cars and sprayed aftershave on and walk away.

Of course an hour and half later they came back and went through the same rigmarole but wiping themselves with tissues so it’s a fair chance they went to see some ladies.. but they were so pissed, drove off… anyway cars and bikes coming on and off going all night so didn’t get any sleep then the bin men came at 6am…

Ady he’s not even close to selling it I had an inkling of going and I thought I’ll digest all Gary and Tam tell me but I’ve made up my mind I’ll stick with Spain and only have 90 daysPS I did go late 70s I thought it might be better now.

So then this morning down to tiznit and all full up with loads of campers around waiting on a list apparently.. so thought I’d get myself down to Sidi Ifni as there’s 4 campsites there and hopefully get in there and that’s where I intended to go as far down and stay there for a few weeks before going to Tafraoute. First one I stopped at Gran Canairia had a couple of spots so here I am…

Looks ok and the bogs and showers are ok for me, surrounding are looks great and all seems cheeper here, haven’t been up to town yet but heard it’s good but up a steep hill …

Will chill and stay here for a couple of weeks at least ….

You'll find inland very different Garry you won't find anything like what you've experienced so far and hopefully you'll enjoy the freedom to roam much more from place to place and be guaranteed a place to park no problem, inland is nowhere near as busy as the coast especially the southern coast where you are

Apologies, got the names mixed up, the Ouazarte to marrakech one N9 has always been ok, the small one from above Taroudant N7 was always renowned for being really rough but hey its Morocco it may well have been sorted.

I remember trying to get From Amtoudi to Tafraoute a few years ago and having to give up and drive round but now its a good 2 lane tarmac road.

You'll find inland very different Garry you won't find anything like what you've experienced so far and hopefully you'll enjoy the freedom to roam much more from place to place and be guaranteed a place to park no problem, inland is nowhere near as busy as the coast especially the southern coast where you are

This is the point, the French are back in serious numbers, there are some touring around but many already know their favourite spots and they head down to the same sites on the same pitches with the same people around them, sound familiar? But CaptainPaul is correct, they tend to congregate on the established sites on the coast between Essaouira and Tiznit.

Just smiffy Agadir itslef has always been difficult to stop in, horrible campsite with agressive staff and pestered to hell everywhere else, thats why people stop outside and travel in for shopping. We quite like the bypass it now has. I didnt realise you had cut Tiznit, if you fancy a meal out with wine in Sidi Ifni, give the nomad a go, or for a beer to watch the go down, the bar with terrace by the entrance to the other campsite under the cliff.

It doesn't suit everyone, we really weren't sure about it on our first trip in 2013, and we're back again for no 6. For us its mostly about getting away from UK winters, but Im the restless one, I can't sit on one campsite for weeks on end because I want a bit of adventure, to be free to explore and be a bit spontaneous, Morocco mostly allows this and adds in a wide variety of scenery, different ways of doing things and its been fascinating to watch it develop.

The first time we came over, Tanger Med was a complete scramble, with touts everywhere trying to tap us for money for doing basic things that we could have done better, there was a scrap of paper we had to guard carefully, we had a lot of rain, the countryside in the north looked just like a scruffier version of polytunnel Spain, campsites were horrible and the roads were poor. It wasn't until we turned south and found Tagazhoute that we started to see the point. The guardian parking is sadly no longer but we then discovered other places we really like.

We passed through Agadir recently but only stopped for a big food shop as don't really like big cities and though it was late afternoon and we did need somewhere to stay we couldn't see anywhere suitable within several miles of there so we headed inland and had a quiet wild camp in hills for a night.

Sorry Garry that you had a bad night but staying in a random carpark on a Saturday night in a major city you could experience antisocial behaviour in a UK city just as easily. Maybe not the bribing the police part though as you'd probably not see any police

The Indian taxi drivers spend most of their time on the phone and then put themselves in stupid positions because they're not paying attention. Moroccan drivers are not quite as bad but I dont want to travel far as a passenger and certainly not on a fast road.

That’s just the way it is . On our recent trip we took a Tuk Tuk from our hotel to the metro station at Aerocity (Dehli) a 5.5km journey. On our return the Tuk Tuk driver saved 4.5km of the journey, and his time and fuel, by driving the wrong way up a hugely busy dual carriageway. A Tuk Tuk driving towards directly oncoming busses and trucks etc is an experience.

No visa… she can stay in the uk for 6 months and also 6 months in Europe, it’s me that’s the problem.
She’s has a couple of months in the uk already so that’s why we’re out of uk for 6 months to reset her visit so she can stay with me back in the uk for another 6 months… when we go back end of April beginning of may I will be 3-4 days over Schengen…
