Rally Pershore Plum Festival 22nd - 30th August 2022

Thank you. I tried to book going from the rally page but couldn't find a way to access, only by going to there "What's New" could I send a request. I'll knows next time. Have a goo rally.

I couldn't even make the top 3 on the reserve team,:crying:

Nice to know nothing has changed in 65yrs when I applied for the College Cricket team

The BIG question now is, at my age, can I afford to wait like I did before. (I'll have a chat with a 'Special' learned sage called old-mo,
he might even tell me a funny joke......or is that too much to hope for?)

Hi Ken,

I have put you on the Reverse (sic) List for the Plum.

Could I offer you the opportunity to attend Avon Bank?
We still have vacancies at our Easter Rally. I appreciate
it isn't the height of Summer and it isn't 'The Plum' but the offer
is still there.

Regards

Derek

Reserve list please missed this until now .
Thanks Jan.

Hi Derek,

Thank you very much for that Derek, unfortunately it clashes with Chester Food and Drink Festival, one of my favourites which I booked and paid for ages ago,

Look forward to seeing you both somewhere soon,

All the best,

Ken.

Following the cancellation by a Funster today, a reservist has taken the place and the Reserves have all gone up a space.

For information.

We are now receiving cancellations for this, and other rallies.

If you are on the Reserve List and receive an invitation to attend, that offer will be time limited, (the closer the date, the shorter the time allowed to respond)

Thank you for your understanding in this matter.

I think we are 5 on the reverse (like it!!) list, but will be abroad for a few weeks. So there's some chance, so we'll take it in absentia if so.

We are there at number six, don't wish anyone missfortune, but fingers crossed.

Just wondering about taking the cycles to this Rally, does anyone know if there's decent/safe/interesting cycling from the site?

Cheers 🚲🚴🚴‍♀️

There is a cycle track into Pershore from the site. Part road and then on to a gravel track to the right where the road ends or you can cycle across the meadow to the left but it's a bit bumpy.

Other than that very short one that Jim mentioned we never found any that didn’t involve at least starting out on the busy main road for a bit. Mind you I am a wimp on a bike (that sounds rude when I say it in my head). Fantastic walks though .

We have just returned from a 20 mile bike ride at Ashbourne and 7 or 8 miles is a nice walk for us.

I take my road bike and after a mile of main road you can get onto some quiet roads.

Would love to attend this one, could you please put us on the Reserve List Derek?

Is anyone taking a kayak/canoe/paddle board to Pershore? just wondering if it's allowed?
🛶🛶

You can launch a canoe/ paddle board from the little park area a little way up towards wyre piddle. The boat yard charges ,I believe, some £10 to launch anything as he is not that friendly with the campsite owners.. The sides of the river at the camp are to high off the water to launch anything ,unless you jump in first. (y)
