Certainly controlled any urge I may have had to go there! More likely opportunistic profiteering. NT bad enough but this is ridiculous. I'll be off across the Channel again at the first chance. After the clear up operation after the last lockdown I'm surprised Lulworth Estates has even opened! They were overrun , so maybe the pricing is a way to control the crowding experienced last year?
I'm not brilliant with geography but is Quackers Woodside Field campsite in the right direction for you. Very welcoming. We're here at Norden Farm for a week. Sadly, can't come to the May meet.
Much use of bus passes but today went to Blue Pool (lovely) and Durdle Door. Took the kids there many years ago and looked at Lulworth Camp where my Dad did some of his National Service.
However, major beef. Main parking on the chalk closed off for some sort of maintenance work, little evidence of what, and only overflow parking open. Not a problem in itself but £5 for 4 hours car parking charge (ok ish) and £15 for 4 hours vehicles over 5.5m! Am I being unreasonable but parked long enough to make coffee and scarpered. Lulworth Estate having a laugh, surely? £15 is an overnight CL. Land probably stolen from ordinary folk in the middle ages, in the first place, anyway.
Not sure why you are quoting tony_g s post for this. ? If it was about somewhere between Norden Farm and New Forest, then not really on the way.I'm not brilliant with geography but is Quackers Woodside Field campsite in the right direction for you. Very welcoming.
Riverbankannie do you have postcode please.
Wombles - Booked and Paid but in the main site not Pond Field, arriving Monday.
Have added you both now to the list on the first post - if you would like any first name/names added then just let me knowBooked and paid 4 nights.
I might have missed something discussion wise (?) but we aren't in the rally field but all on grass campsite pitches with EHU mostly in the Pond Field but maybe a few who booked late will be in the other camping areas.I may have misunderstood but I’m sure when I phoned to extend our stay from the Friday until the Monday that the lady said we wouldn’t have to move. I just assumed no-one was coming into the rally field after us.
That explains why we don’t have to move then! I knew we were in Pond field but clearly I got confused about everything else, nothing new there.I might have missed something discussion wise (?) but we aren't in the rally field but all on grass campsite pitches with EHU mostly in the Pond Field but maybe a few who booked late will be in the other camping areas.
Pitches 1-31 are in the main part of Pond Field & 32-44 are the other part all on the right hand site next to the Top Field :

If anyone is thinking of booking New Forest https://www.motorhomefun.co.uk/forum/threads/new-forest-may-2021-camping-offer-discount-ending-in-4-days-currently-from-£12-15-per-night.228265/ after Norden - the discount code ends at midnight on Sunday so please don't leave it too long to request the code & book!
Hi, no email from Norden as yet.
Think they are probably being sent out to everyone in booking & arrival date so should be emailed in the next day or two - I was a bit too keen to update this thread as need to get out & pack the motorhome! Not had welcome pack either, perhaps it was just for you wombles, it doesn't matter look forward to hitting the road.
I always forget something, or have too much of something elseI’m going out to start packing ours in a minute - it takes me three days to remember everything - God knows what we’d be like if it was in storage and not in our garden!
