We're here at Norden Farm for a week. Sadly, can't come to the May meet.
Much use of bus passes but today went to Blue Pool (lovely) and Durdle Door. Took the kids there many years ago and looked at Lulworth Camp where my Dad did some of his National Service.
However, major beef. Main parking on the chalk closed off for some sort of maintenance work, little evidence of what, and only overflow parking open. Not a problem in itself but £5 for 4 hours car parking charge (ok ish) and £15 for 4 hours vehicles over 5.5m! Am I being unreasonable but parked long enough to make coffee and scarpered. Lulworth Estate having a laugh, surely? £15 is an overnight CL. Land probably stolen from ordinary folk in the middle ages, in the first place, anyway.

After the clear up operation after the last lockdown I'm surprised Lulworth Estates has even opened! They were overrun , so maybe the pricing is a way to control the crowding experienced last year?

Certainly controlled any urge I may have had to go there! More likely opportunistic profiteering. NT bad enough but this is ridiculous. I'll be off across the Channel again at the first chance.

Checking on their website this morning there are still some medium & large grass pitches with EHU available - as mentioned before the Pond Field is full now (unless any cancellations) & no discounts possible but sure to still have some socially distanced chats with fellow Funsters If anyone does book don't forget to let us know & see post #138 for details of how to get spotted no matter where you are in the campsite!

No problem getting fresh organic milk at the campsite - they now have a milk vending machine! Lots of other dairy produce in the Farm Shop too.

UPDATE: Norden Farm have just advised that from Friday 30th April all facilities will be open except the showers, disabled room & family room so this will apply to our May stay there

I may have misunderstood but I’m sure when I phoned to extend our stay from the Friday until the Monday that the lady said we wouldn’t have to move. I just assumed no-one was coming into the rally field after us.

I might have missed something discussion wise (?) but we aren't in the rally field but all on grass campsite pitches with EHU mostly in the Pond Field but maybe a few who booked late will be in the other camping areas.
Pitches 1-31 are in the main part of Pond Field & 32-44 are the other part all on the right hand site next to the Top Field :

For anyone considering this one - no discounts & no pitches left in the Pond Field but on their website there are some medium & large grass pitches with EHU still available in general camping. The Farm Shop & all facilities will be open except the showers, disabled room & family room. Don't forget to bring your fishing kit if you would like to spend some time around the campsite pond

The Farm Shop is well stocked https://nordenfarmshop.com/ so ideal for treats or to stock up if going on to camp somewhere else after Norden. They have a daily delivery of fresh fruit and vegetables, milk & bakery items & fresh meat is stocked too as well as lots more!

It's good to know that the Farm Shop is open 8.30am-6pm every day & important arrivals info. as below:

• Check-in time is 12:00-18:00- please ensure you register upon arrival.
• We are providing a contactless check-in to ensure our campers remain as safe as possible for the duration of their stay with us. When you arrive on site please drive straight to the check-in point, remain in your car and await instructions from the wardens.
• We have no holding areas on site so it is important you do not arrive before the scheduled check-in time.
• Please contact reception if you are not going to be here before 18:00. Any late arrivals must register with reception the following morning before 11:00
