Don't worry you were on the list as having booked (y) As the toilet & shower blocks are unlikely to be allowed to be open Norden Farm will be checking with everyone (in the next few weeks) if they are still able & happy to camp & once everyone posts here we are bolding each one. Details on post #77 (you were on the alert list) - if you are happy with this then I'll amend the list.
I saw an email from Norden Farm in my junk Mail box, but deleted it before I had a chance to open it! I’ve asked them to resend it - I could have just confirmed we are self contained, but I thought I’d better ask them to send it again!

It's lovely to hear that so many of you will be there! :hi5:

Hi Centurian bigalw35 Nana Sandancers Bessie600 JohnMfish Ray1075 Hammie Teddy B Dorwyn Hils and Glenns tboy :hi: - please can you either post here or PM to let us know if you will still be joining us all at Norden Farm this May (bearing in mind that the toilet & shower block has to stay closed) or if you have have moved your booking to 9-13 May 2022 or other dates? Hopefully you will have all been contacted by the campsite by now & decided which you prefer. We will still be going as will quite a few others (see list on first post https://www.motorhomefun.co.uk/foru...et-corfe-castle-dorset-10-14-may-2021.219106/ ) as we can't wait to get out & about :dance2:but will be very cautious as we will still have only had the one jab by then so would be sticking to our own facilities anyway. The Pond Field is a short, level walk to water & waste so that should make life a little easier.

Yes we are still up for it but we haven't heard from the campsite

We are waiting to see (faint hope I know) just in case the Gov. allows quicker full opening of the campsites at their next review. If not, we will be moving the booking to next year. We have informed Norden Farm.

Glenn says when he called Norden farm they said there wouldn't be services.
Presume they would have updated your booking then so would have been no need for them to email.

To confirm for anyone reading this - there will be water & waste just no shared facilities like toilets, showers or the washing-up area.

yes we will still be going(y)

Just booked at Norden Farm but not in the Pond Field which is evidently now full.

Have added you to the list now (y) You probably won't be far from the Pond Field - all you need is a Fun sticker or sign in your motorhome (will post details on next post for anyone who doesn't already have these) & you are sure to have plenty of individual socially distanced Funster chats or just wander over & say hello :hi:

As us all gathering together is not an option & some having booked later may be pitched outside of the Pond Field , maybe make a sign or download, edit & print this version https://www.motorhomefun.co.uk/forum/resources/rally-name-badge.66/ or this one https://www.motorhomefun.co.uk/forum/resources/smiley-rally-badge.228/ ) with forum &/or first names to display in your motorhome if you don't already have one. For anyone new to get a Fun sticker (tax disc type for your windscreen) just send a stamped addressed envelope to:
Motorhomefun STICKER
Jasmin Lodge
Crabtree Lane
Sutton on Sea
Lincolnshire
LN12 2RS
As many already know, these really help us all spot each other & have some individual friendly socially distanced chats :)

Wombles, as Boris stubbornly refused to let campsites open their toilet facilities till the week after this rally we have decided to move our booking to next year. Can you confirm the dates that we should move it to when we contact Norden Farm.

Thanks.

Thanks for letting us know - we are hoping for 9-13 May 2022 but that's subject to us all behaving & acting in a COVID Safe way this year which is understandable.

Hi

Unfortunately, we have to cancel our visit to norden farm this year, but hope to transfer to next year.

Perhaps abacist could move into fishers pond now.

Have a great time
Regards
Pam and Danny.

Thank you for letting us know & hope to see you next year which will hopefully be 9-13 May 2022.
The campsite decides the pitch allocation so suggest Abacist contacts them to see if being allocated one in the Pond Field is possible if they aren't already allocated one there.

Our pitch for this year will also be free. We contacted Borden Farm today to move the date to next year.

Waiting to hear back if any pitches left at all on the campsite now as likely to be getting full - will update here once known.

JohnMfish & Ray1075 please can you let us know if you are still booked for this May so we can update the list on the first post on this thread?

UPDATE: It looks like all 33 Fun motorhomes currently booked should be together in the Pond Field according to Norden Farm (y)which is great but any further bookings will be in the general campsite area although that's not too far away. We have 31 on the list on the first post here so if we have missed anyone ( presumably JohnMfish & Ray1075 ? ) then please let us know :active: Not long to go now!

Hi Joy - sure others will also add their knowledge of the area - we've only been a couple of times but will try to answer your queries.
Monkey World is almost all outside so not good on a rainy day but parking is motorhome friendly & just off a main road for driving but have a look via Google Maps to make sure that you are happy with the route.
Don't know when the Miniature Village reopens but can remember walking past there from the campsite before - whether it is suited to shorter children's legs as a walk perhaps others can advise?
As mentioned in the first post there is a bus service at the entrance to Norden that goes down to Swanage then can take a connecting bus to Studland & beyond. Hope that helps a little & once there the Reception will be able to help with more detailed info. Whatever you decide to do hope you have a lovely time catching up with your granddaughter.

We have just extended our stay until Monday 17th so that we can head straight off to Topsham. Youngest son didn’t want us heading home that weekend as it’s his birthday so he has plans for the house!

We thought about staying on as we are of to the New forest after, I was told the price will be about £26/£28 per night ,is there anyway we can stay on at nominal price per night,

The prices are as quoted by the campsite but will vary according to each persons requirements - doing a dummy booking a medium grass pitch (under 7m) with EHU on the website for those dates was £70.50 for 3 nights & a large grass EHU one £75 that included 2 people (less for solo campers) & awning. These are campsite pitches (it's not a rally field) so will be in high demand at the weekend so no room for negotiation on the price especially so near the time too & they are likely to be fully sold out soon with the current demand for camping.
Only suggestion for camping at a lower price would be to find a CL in the area - perhaps between the two locations to break up the journey - if you do find something suitable please do post as others doing the same might find it helpful.

May be worth looking at Camping in The Forest - New Forest Sites, unless you want a change of scene before going to the Showground.

The most basic CITF sites like Denny Wood & Matley Wood, (no toilet / shower / EHU, just basic water and CDP) should be less than £15 a night mid May for a couple, with further reductions if you are C&CC, over 60. No dogs at Denny Wood, use Matley Wood instead. Avoid CITF Roundhill this year, no toilet blocks yet they are pricing as if toilets/showers are there. I was at Denny Wood last weekend, perhaps a bit remote from some stuff, but friendly warden, reasonably spaced out pitching (you choose your spot, no marker pegs), grass pitches only but they are firm ground if in places slightly uneven, ponies wandering through the site, great access into the forest trails between Brockehurst and Lyndhurst, and I think I now prefer it to Sethorns.
