Jim can we start the rally thread in media rallies 2021 or do you have to do it darlin'?

So did we.

This little fella mimicked everyone's expressions...

He showed me his willy!!!! Then copied my expression. He was a right little character.

The whole place made me sad.. .. It wasn't the 'Freedom' palace I had hoped for the animals. :(

We stayed on at Norden Farm until this morning, having had my daughter, her partner and grandchildren come and stay for the weekend. Many thanks to Karen and Alan for organising.

The Safari room took ages to put up as usual and we brought our, new to us, Toad to get around and take some pics.

We drove to Weymouth and onto Portland where we went right up to the top to be stopped at the No Entry to the Verne Citadel where we took some pics looking back towards the cliffs at Lulworth and Durdle Door, Chesil beach and went on to the lighthouse at Portland Bill.

Hi All :hi: - just to let you know this thread for May next year https://www.motorhomefun.co.uk/foru...h-early-booking-discount.245000/#post-4594699 is now started so please post there if you want to be notified when booking is open. Unfortunately Norden Farm received some very negative & unfair feedback from two Funster couples (apparently pitched next to each other) about the price of the stay, Farm Shop prices, the weather & that no Norden Farm staff had been round to check on them (?!) which is the worst feedback the Campsite have ever had in all their years of trading & almost ruined all chances of Funsters ever having a discount or an area to be pitched together again so please only express your interest for next year if you were happy with your stay this year. There was lots of lovely feedback too with many loving the campsite, location, friendly staff & the Farm Shop was incredibly popular so thank you to all those - if there is ever a problem please raise it whilst there so if possible it can be dealt with but controlling the weather is a bit of a big ask!

Oh golly that’s such a pity. We had a great time despite the weather and stayed a few extra days. I think there was only one day when we didn’t manage to get out for a really long walk and that was after most people had left and I did the washing! The only thing the weather prevented us doing was socialising as much as we’d perhaps do normally.

We would like to go again. We love it there, the walking is amazing. The prices aren’t dear, it’s a Farm shop. I don’t think some people are used to “Southern” prices. Try living in Sherborne or nearby, toasted sandwich with a bit of salad £8.95 is standard in a cafe, fish and chips £12.95 in a half decent pub at least.

Thank you Karen.

The moaners obviously didn’t see the cheery chaps helping the funsters who got stuck in the mud on arrival. They towed them out and found them a nice dry spot.

Yes please.

We had a brilliant time. Morning entertainment with the exercise class. Brilliant views of the animals day and night. Lovely walks through woods full of bluebells and wild garlic. The steam train, loved going to Durdle door Not Dumbledore. :) Norden farm did a brilliant job trying to protect everyone, gel everywhere, all windows open in the washing up area. (I stole a bucket of hot water, it was hot). Most of all we were able to see people after being locked up for so long with so many Welsh restrictions and many still in place, it was wonderful and very memorable. As for the weather we are Welsh it was like summer Lol The only negative I wasn’t brave enough to get on my bike but others did.

Hi Karen,
I would just like to comment that we really enjoyed the event, the campsite facilities were great and spotlessly clean.
The location is superb, with public transport at the site entrance and a campsite shop that couldn’t stock much more.
We would definitely like to join the meet next year, if we can make ourselves available.

Horrified to hear about the poor feedback! Since when is the weather within anyone’s control! We thoroughly enjoyed our week and when our daughter and family came to stay! No complaints about the site at all!

I must be missing something I’ve never had campsite staff check I was alright however pleasant they are. How would they get their jobs done if they also had to check on sometimes four hundred pitches! Bonkers!

I could not agree more with the above statement. Presumably, the people who complained, had not been camping for so long They had forgotten what the real world looked like!
