As per the Grand Opening - we'll book in with campsite tomorrow - and will be there celebrating New Year with you all!

Me again.

Booked into the Dirty Duck (great name for a caravan site!!).

Will be arriving on 31 December, and staying until the 2 January.

Really looking forward to our first New Year's Eve in the motorhome - if it gets too cold, we'll be hanging round the RVs, asking to be let in for a warm :Tongue:

Yes, you got a standing ovation or something didn't you. Wasn't that the Valentines Day meet? I'm sure we will all take a different route! perhaps you could advise? :BigGrin:
 
Hi Suzy,

This meet isn't looking too good for us at the moment, due to the 31st being a normal working day, and Rita is unable to secure that day off.

We'll have to wait and see nearer the time, and if there are no vacancies left at the pub, then it's unlucky for us.:Frown:

Oh great Suzy, are your going to phone Rita's boss, and tell him what a totally inconsiderate so and so he is, and that you'll tear his head off if he doesn't play ball, (as a tigeress would of course).

Greetings,

Possibly we may attend depends on our circumstances surrounding the motorhome, mind you I suppose it could be worth booking and have to cancel if need be!

What is the cost per night?

It's £15 per night including Hardstanding and EHU.

Hi Russell

We will probably arrive on Saturday, and stay Sunday and Monday nights and travel home on Tuesday the 1st. We will decide nearer the time - Xmas is always a busy time for us.
 
Russell, I think we will be there from Thursday evening, but you know what happens to best laid plans!

:Frown: I was hoping to surprise you all by coming and doing a little bit of Karaoke and Disco for the New Year's celebrations. However. Sandy has an Hospital appointment on New Years Eve at 2.00pm in the afternoon. It's the only time they could fit her in when we are back during Xmas/New Year. :Frown:
 
New Year Meet

Hi,

We have had a lot of new members join since this meet was announced so I thought it might be a good idea to start a thread for all those that might not be aware of it.

We have organised a meet to bring in the new year in true motorhoming style!
The details are in the calendar starting on the 28th December but I have copied them here.

We are going to have it at:

£15.00 per night including electric hookup and hardstanding

Please note that that whilst the pub does great food they will stop serving at about 3pm on Sunday 30th and Monday 31st. The rest of the time it is service as usual.


We plan to arrive Friday 28th December and depart Wednesday 2nd January.
You can extend your stay either side of these dates as you wish.

Please book with the site directly and mention MotorhomeFun when booking to ensure that you are pitched with the group.

After booking please post in this thread and we will add you to the list of attendees.

I just told Paul that I wish we had a hard top so we could come and he said if I camped thne I would have a 'hard top' cheeky!
