 Well as it happens? We have a small Computerised Karaoke/Disco that we carry with us to entertain the Old Folk. I mentioned on another New Years Meet thread that we would have liked to attend but Sandy has an Hospital appointment for 2.30pm in the afternoon of New Years Eve. But it's only just over an hour away from Doncaster to the Grantham meet. Needs some thinking about.

You know you can make it! Come on everyone loves Karaoke!

Booze up on new years:Eeek: Nah!!!:Eeek:

"come up with a design for a fold away hard top for us to stop us getting wet!

I have been thinking.........and have come up with some non sense:
First Idea :
You would have a better chance of staying dry if you stayed at home but I know that's not fun when your frienbds are all out in their vans, no......not going down well?

Second Idea :
You could invest in a very big tarpaulin to cover the top of your kit so that you have a double "skin". Before you put the extra "skin" on top put a layer of insulation between the tarpaulin and the tent top. I always feel warm under eider or duck down but some one else may have a better solution for insultation for you. I would then lash this lot down somehow so it doesn't blow away.

Geo seems to be full of good ideas. C'mon chaps, what can they use as insulation?

I think he would be like the Spanish with his tarpaulin and every family brings a bit more plus the home white goods, Fridge, cooker, washing machine and so on as he likes his comforts:Wink:

Oh yes and someone bring a miniature caravan too!

Are we having at least one big meal in the restaurant together? maybe a dinner?

And acn we order something like a Brunch New Years Day?

I am always in favour of a group 'eat' at any get together.
As space is limited at the dirty duck, it might be prudent to block book let's say 40 seats, then a couple of weeks beforehand cancel any seats not required.

Good idea Sharon, I will ring Eric now.
