Motorhoming Life… A survey of the mundane - breakfast.

Breakfast,Cereal and lots of different fruit .
Lunch 1whole orange, that's helping me to lose weight, cooked evening dinner

Good Afternoon

As we are still waiting to collect our motorhome, pending MOT, service, hab service, valet etc. my life is spent reading this forum and dreaming of what’s to come. It is comforting to see such helpful responses to folks with problems.
This morning after getting breakfast sorted and returning to bed with bacon sandwiches and coffee I was wondering….
How is breakfast taken by the Motorhome Fun community?
Please share your motorhoming breakfast routines! Do you do things differently to when at home? Inside or outside? Earlier or later? Fry up or healthy options?
I need to know how to do breakfast properly if we are going to fit in with all you experienced travellers!

Get up early 7 - 7.30, kettle on, mug of tea whilst checking weather & poring over the maps to plan the day's journey & adventures. Then coffee & go. Stop for second/third/fourth etc coffee at regular intervals thereafter or when we see a nice view with a handy spot to stop.

We road-trip as opposed to going somewhere and setting up camp for a week. It's what we like most about having a motorhome, the constantly waking up somewhere new. Having said that, everyone is different, do what you enjoy!

Usually only coffee but this morning, bacon, eggs, beans and bread and butter. I didn't even ask for any. Must've done something right 😁

Mug of Tea, Tea and another Tea, then either a good fry up sometimes brunch, or cornflakes and then more Tea

At home, nothing until a coffee around 3 o'clock.
Abroad, cafetiere coffee around 10.30.

A fry up as a late lunch on a Sunday about once a month

Aldi part baked rolls with marmalade, marmite or honey. Bowl of chopped fruit with yogurt and a cafateer of coffee. On high days and holidays, maybe bacon and eggs

There is nothing better than being on a site with other campers an doing a Full English on the Cadac outside. The smell of it always attracts comments and chat with other campers
I find the same when I do my Full Monty also!

I’ll get me coat 😂

Don't mind coffee but got to be a big pot of tea for breakfast. Can sit around for ages with a pot of tea.

What else? Well for us it's usually toast followed by fruit. (and more tea)

Love a fry up but way too greasy for the moho, the BBQ and the arteries so compromise and just have gallons of coffee

In France....Croissant plus orange juice then walk to Cafe for un Grande Creme

Fry up some back bacon, full rashers with rind on. Grate some mature cheddar cheese onto a Staffordshire oatcake and toast u der a grill. When the cheese is molten, place the cooked rasher of bacon on the cheese then roll the oatcake. HP sauce can be added if necessary.

Builders tea. Strong enough that you can trot a mouse on top of it.

Thanks for hints on disposing of coffee grounds. Think we might go that route. We've been trying coffee bags, they're ok but not great. Always tea at breakfast time though.

I buy a fine ground version of the beans I use at home in my bean to cup machine, the fine ground is apparently best for moka pots. Moka pots are much easier to clean out than a cafetière and make better coffee too ime.

Just a handfull of hot gravel for me, if I'm lucky

Ruffty tuffty, Bacon (always streaky) and Egg (egg flipped and yolk broken) sannie (farmhouse loaf, white bread!) Salt & Pepper and a bloody big squirt of brown sauce. Eaten by hand! none of this Knife & Fork rubbish with little pinky raised!
