Mosel Meet.

I did nothing but inform you to be honest I was a bit warey. You weighed straight in no bother fair play to you. I noticed group of undesirables in trees when entering Aire because tunnel had problems. We parked up wife was making rolls as I see 2 lads walk my way. They by passed me and headed to your van where they set about hiding under your scooter cover.
Now I didn't have a clue what to do tbh I couldn't just leave it I see others looking but they clearly didn't want to get involved.
You must have got home before me I didn't get home until about 4 am was meant to be on 8,20 train then section of M20 shut.

He's probably sussed that this country is going to the dogs, and was looking for a lift back across the water.

Cheers,

Jock. :)

Found a site ediger - Eller nice safe walks for the dogs and restaurants may stop for 3 nights then go further down the road . Full electric and Wi-Fi 57euro

As Derek @Emmit says, almost all have cycle and walking paths. We have a dog (but no bikes) and the one I liked the best for dog walking was at Mosel Beach, closely followed by Wintrich.
Of topic how is the frankia any issues at all

I think ee have planned to go to the other site, and as the rest of the crew are still out drinking it may be hard to get them to understand a change in plans, drunken brits tut tut

Where we are, there is an Aldi, Lidl, Globus, and a TUV Station to get your Umwelt Plakette from. ;)

Jock. :)

We went to a restaurant in Belstein and the waitress was complaining she was sick of us English not being able to speak German. It put us off really as the rest of the staff were also quite rude to us we nearly drove back to France.

Well, I'm not English, and neither is Rita, and neither of us can speak German (not much anyway), so you are in good company.
At the Walter Oster Weingut in Ediger-Eller, they speak excellent english, and it was the same at the Weingut Stellplatz at Ernst, and it's mostly younger staff members. ;)

Don't be worrying about it. If they want your business, they'll communicate. ;)

At your age - you've no chance.

Kaput is all you'll get.
You've not been keeping up Brian. I acquired a Green (4) plakette last Monday morning. (y)
So there. Na na na na na na.

Cheers,

Jock. :)

They didn't want our business, as we walked up the waitress was sitting down having a fag and a beer and she was furious we disturbed her

Don't give up, that is just as likely to happen in the UK. There are plenty of Germans who will go out of their way to help you. And real quality food when it arrives.

Yes you are right we have met some really nice Germans, mostly the young ones.

Hi yes we're in the Hymer. Just got back in after a lovely meal out.
We haven't decided what we are doing yet but possibly staying tomorrow. We rode along the bike lane today passed the camp site and there were lovely big grass areas for your dog's.

Ok, would love to meet you both. We will call by tomorrow.

They bombed our chippy don’t you know!

Not on the Mosel, now at the (a) campsite in Rhudesheim (sp) lovely walk into the town, or a cycle ride if you prefer. beer good I have even tried the sausages, not impressed, but am not keen on bangers anyway. Seen so many UK vans but no Fun stickers, but then mine is not on display either

And, on a similar theme.
Why is all tourist information (alright, I found ONE piece of lit. in Dutch yesterday) only written in German. I'm not complaining, we've only had good experiences except for the woman in Tourist Info. who, although speaking to us in English wouldn't make eye contact and waved in the direction of the Bank we wanted rather than telling us.

THE BALLOON'S GONE UP!!!

Literally.

We are at Keston when the shout went up that the 'Guardien' (Sorry, don't know the word in German) was coming around to collect the fees.

Someone decided to escape pronto!

Up, up and away.....

For those thinking of using Cite Europe and feeling totally safe doing so , may have to modify their approach . I was parked on Sat about 11:00 am in the part for coaches immediately adjacent to the MoHo section . We had been shopping and lunch then came back to the vehicle , sat watching the TV when heard door open and so got up to see what was going on , to find a small Somali/ Ethiopian type sat inside door on footwell steps !!!! He was told to leave in a robust manner ! Which he did.
Moved vehicle after alerting Police further into centre of coach park nearer to other moHo . Porkester was parked in same park . Luckily . We were again inside when we saw a buddy of the previous "visitor" walking across park from near us. I got out to have a check round having heard a slight noise. Sue followed me out and I went round vehicle checking lockers were still locked to meet Sue and Porkster coming to meet me whereupon "P" informed us that he had seen one climb under scooter cover on rear lift . Following some enthusiastic prodding a small brown man appeared saying sorry repeatedly and took off ! It was shortly after this that we decided to relocate and ended up getting the next ferry , no extra (Thanks DFDS) who were very sympathetic when informed of the reason for our earlier departure . When we left we could see several of the immigrant group in the trees adjoining the MH Aire !!! So a big thankyou to Porkster :)
No one ended up getting a free ride to Blighty :)
@PORKSTER
We were there to and didn’t realise it was your van he was sat in.
We had all alarms on and before setting off at 5 am Rob went round looking underneath with a torch just in case.
I did feel for them sleeping rough in the trees but I do feel charities should try and educate them that it is s fruitless task and they won’t be met with a golden handshake if they make it to England.
