I use this place before and after crossing, so I would say yes.A question for those who go regularly.
Is Los Barrios the place to fill up with LPG before getting the ferry or is there another or better option?
Thanks

Hi @PhilandMena.fail to understand why you need two filters
I do not think any photos of my set up would be of value to you as I have the Gaslow system. I have a dedicated Gaslow hose (see link below) that goes from the filter connected to the Moroccan gas bottle to the filler point on my motorhome. From there straight into my Gaslow cylinder and them from there to Fridge, Oven or Hob via regulator.Hi @PhilandMena.
Thanks for your response. Apologies, that was my bad English. I am only using 1 filter, my line of thinking was: gas bottle, regulator, hose, filter, hose, gas BBQ inlet. My difficulty has been to get connectors from the hose to each side of the filter. It sounds like this maybe too complicated so may have to attach the filter directly to the gas bottle like you so am hoping to find out if it will fit.
Do you attach the regulator to the other side of the filter you have shown in your link? If you can please describe or provide a photo of your set up that would be very useful. I'm sorry that I'm a bit vague but I hope I can learn from your experience and am very grateful for any help.
I love the photos you put on and hopefully we can have such a great adventure as you have.
Very best regards and Happy Christmas.
Nik

rabat is or was an easy drive.
cross the river from salle . then find a turn round area go back towards the bridge and then turn left and follow the river etc down to the coast. then turn left and follow the coast along the sea front. after a few miles turn left and back to a main road but look out for the turnings to temara plage . then follow the sea road on downwards.
it used to be possible to do it all the way from rabat but in the early 2000,s they blocked the coast road a couple miles from rabat.
from there on follow the coast ,
safi is good follow signs to the port and just before the port turn left and again your following the sea great drive . used to pass sardine factories and a big generation plant etc mind blowing .
the nearest roads to the sea are great. a bridge got washed away in the 90,s and they made a sea crossinf but you can only do it if the sea allows forget the place but i,m sure you may know it.
cap teflney i think or that area, there used to be a fishing village just before with loads of blue fishing boats all over the beach.
We're going to try and use our 2016 sim but was told by someone they only last a yearHere's a question for the Moroc vetrans, or anybody else who can answer. (I would be grateful for facts and not opinions, please).
Data sim card in Morocco.
1. Can I use a Moroc Telecom data sim card last used in 2016 ?
2. Can I use a Vodafone Data Sim Card if I cahnge the APN settings ?
I have no intentions of ever queuing again at Asilha for a sim card.
Unfortunately, it looks as though we now won't be able to go in January, due to doctor's appointments. If we can get away by March, would it still be worth going for a couple of months, or will the weather be getting too warm, bearing in mind that we have an elderly dog?
Many thanks for your views.
I may have been one of those people in the Que. Worse than a total nightmare and one particular female did not know what she wanted and had no information to enable her contract to be established and after 30 minutes or so gave up. I recall not being able to get to the front of the Que and having to return the following morning. You just know it's going to be rammed again this time round. Never again for me at that place. I think I will rely on campsite WiFI as bad as it is and maybe try the Moroc Telecom in Tafroute as we pass through. Perhaps they can set me up with a new sim card.1/ In my experience a Maroc Telecom card expires 12 months after last use - I "reactivated" an 11 month old card just by topping up.
2/ As long as the sim card will connect with a service provider I don't see why not, but it's likely to be very expensive. Certainly phoning home with a Vodafone mobile was.
The mistake at Asilah is to let the guy try to fit the card for you and get it to work. Couple of years ago when I was leading our first group we told everyone just to buy the card, don't let the guy do anything, and we'd sort it out later. It was just a matter of changing the APN but of course different devices have different ways of doing that and the guy struggled. Took us a couple of minutes with each device whereas he gave up after half an hour when the queue was out the door.
You don't have to use a Moroc Telecom, there are other service providers. It's just that MT has total coverage, the others not always.
Its only a few miles from the port, so definitely the easiest option. Its also a large forecourt, plenty of room to get to the LPG pump and plenty of space to park up if its lunchtime.A question for those who go regularly.

Thanks for that! I note there is a Moroc Telecom in Tiznit and will be heading through there on our way south. There is also a Moroc Telecom in Tafroute too.Re data sim in Morocco - when we arrived in Asilah earlier this year, MT was closed for the weekendWe ended up going into the town and got a data sim from INWI
It worked very welland there is an Inwi shop in Tafroute

If I remember correctly the MT shop in Tiznet is not much bigger than a market stall. However it is quite easy to find, it's on the big roundabout as you enter the town from the north, actually between two exit roads, and it's possible to park right outside it. Got a top-up there. Reasonable supermarket just round the corner too. Thanks for that! I note there is a Moroc Telecom in Tiznit and will be heading through there on our way south. Not quite Terry, next to the post office a few hundred meters before the roundabout, according to Google Maps.If I remember correctly the MT shop in Tiznet is not much bigger than a market stall. If my memory serves me correctly. it's # 3 for a data sim card. When you buy ‘top Up’ cards, they are the same cards for data and phone usage. When you put the code in from the purchased ‘top up card’ you finish the input with #3 or #4, one is for international calls and the other is data. I don’t have the information to hand, but will look later.
Also if you have the phone with you many shops will do it for you via their own phone....really clever and you always get a confirmation text to your phone...in French !!
Just found my old contract and sim card. Well out of date now so will replace at some stage in Moroc. When I put the sim card into the mifi the first time the APN reset itself - to iamgprs2.ma - and I never had to change it, worked first time I tried to connect. Don't know anything about #3 or #4, it just worked. As I posted earlier, though, different devices do it differently so it may be necessary to change it manually.
