Morocco 2016

Sounds like a good time yesterday evening. Hope to be in Tafraout for the festival next year:)

We are still here!! Due to get ferry at the weekend. We are in Larache at the moment and are going to spend a couple of days at Moulay Bousselham depending on the weather. (y)

Road over the mountains is clear at the moment but it started snowing as we left Azrou. We were making for Meknes yesterday but I think it was National Take your Family and a sledge to the snow yesterday, it was crazy up there. Just after monkeyville there were cars and coaches parked all over the shop, the police were not making a good job of managing the traffic and it took us ages to get through. Looks like it will be the same again today judging by the amount of traffic heading that way.

Hi,
Is it a bit quieter now over there ? Has the mass exodus back to Europe started yet
We are on a mission to exit now as a little birdie told us there is some excellent skiing to be had in Granada. Moulay Bouss tonight and then ferry the next day. Might as well keep me socks and scarf on then!

Great t
Hi @PhilandMena I think all but TimandAli have left Maroc now, we're in Spain, Colin is back home.

Still following thread, keep them photos coming!
Great to hear from you Terry and glad you are both well and enjoying life. You will be glad to hear I have brokered a 4x4 day trip deal for Busman Dave and his lovely Maggie, from 400 Dh each down to 200 Dh each. My reputation remains in tact the guy called me a Scottish Berber man after I insisted he shake hands on the deal. The same guy told me this morning (still speaking to me) that Moroc Telecom keep repairing the main antenna and the Internet lasts for a month then compete fails, been going on for quite a while.
I will continue to post photo's but will have to wait until the internet connection is good and I have decided to stay here a little longer at the expense of a week- 10 days in Portugal as the weather here is so good and a bit Iffy in Portugal.
We are quite a group here in Tafroute, as many non Funsters in 'Phil's circle of love' as Funsters, consisting of , Irish, French, German, Swiss Welsh and Scouser's. I have organised a gig gang goofy night for next Tuesday evening and have told all the hunter gathere's (men) to go out Tuesday morning and to return with wood. Ian (non Funster) has a bow saw and I 'm fearing the worst. Mike will be bringing his guitar and will be a great night. All we need to make it a perfect night is the Funsters we were with in Tafroute last year.

Bite your pillow and call me bunny! You sound like Scott of the Arse antic mate!! Ah! How I miss those days Phil, glad to see your still widening the "circle" of your friends mate! She was only the Tank commanders daughter but she knew what Regi ment!

He's not widening MY circle I can assure you!
He can do what he wants to the circles of the German, Swiss, Welsh, and the goats and sheep
It's not fair to leave the French out Mike!

I should have expected that after spending 40 minutes together in the Hammam, on our ownsome.

Found an A 4 note on my window after returning from watching my team get beat yesterday. The note said OH DEAR!
I have a bloody good idea who it was as it was written with an Evertonian accent. I shall have my revenge.

So you obviously tried in that 40 minutes then Phil? Best left unsaid I think! As for the Evertonian note...... That can only mean one thing....... It was a forgery!!:ROFLMAO:(y)

The campfire (Sounds a bit gay doesn't it !) is now ready after being built by Darren, Mike and myself and it looks like the bees knees. Hunter gathers will be setting out at first light tomorrow morning for wood. We're going to have a good un.
Anyone got marshmallows?

No but got some ging gang goolies! And a nap sack on my back.... Fol Daree, fol darah!

Well I must say Phil's circle of love/campfire was a resounding success, a great evening with superb entertainment from the guitar man himself Mike. Some people got drunker than others and hopefully we will have another before we leave
Well done Phil

Crap internet again ! The ging gang goolie was a raging success, the wind dropped and smoke became a none issue. The fire lasted all night and there were 17 people in attendance plus the guardian (same one as last year), who came over and was duly invited into the group and supplied with copious amounts of alcohol. (Listening to a Berber singing along to Elvis songs is a joy). Mike Makems gave a brilliant session with his guitar and we had probably our best night so far this year in Tafroute.
Pictures will be posted when the Internet is capable.
Oh! 2 days ago we hit 38 degrees (32 in the shade)
Off to the hotel tonight with all the scousers to see my team wipe the floor with them.

Thanks for the kind words Mark. Glad Sam and you had a great night. We went looking for you yesterday on the way to the Hammam but could not see you. Where exactly are you in Taf.

Wonderful! Sorry we missed it, well done Mike! And Phil, It gets especially difficult to play the pisseder you get!!

Great night at Phils circle of love

Has he been to the 'trick' barbers again? Looks like its been cut with a knife and fork

He went to the barbers and asked him to cut it short at the back, higher on the left, jagged at the sides and crooked at the front.
The barber said "I can't cut it like that"
"Why not?" Said Phil, "you did last time!"

Went to hotel to watch rugby and as feared Barcelona was on tv so watched first half on tablet.
England were outstanding and never let the leek munchers get a look in. Second half we got the fame on the tv well the first 20 minutes then lost the sodding tv signal o back to the tablet.
The whole game canned when Dan Cole was incorrectly sent to hr sin bin and Wales, god bless them, put in a bit of a performance. However, as predicted, the best side won, so I'm a happy bunny an looking forward to reading the Funster threads about the game.
Championies, Championies, we are the Champions.

Congratulations to all my English chums. Shame the ref didn't call for TMO when North had offloaded prior to stepping into touch!!! Would have been home n dry and one of the greatest come back of all time after giving you a 19pt start, and turning up 50mins into the game!!
Possibly your first GS if you beat France since 2003 ... celebrate I know that feeling having celebrated many times since that date:D

Last 10 minutes were tense to say the least Mark. Pity Wales didn't play better in the first half, it would have mad the game so much more exciting. I think the ref missed a lot on boh sides.
Our turn now to enjoy the recognition of Champions and we will enjoy it as much as the leek munchers did.
Here's to the next time we play you and win once more.
Is the van finished now ?

Van still being worked on Phil, although not a lot was done today!! Maybe coz it's a religious day:D
Hoping all will be done by end of play tomorrow tho, will be around for 3 for beer'oclock. Had our first beer'oclock here at the garage a very happy Evertonian and a very sad Arsenal fan just left, bless her.
See you all tomorrow with Swansea an Wales loosing I havnt ventured far today
