Hi again Sandra and Colin We have decided to make a run of it and get to you Monday ,so please could you get them to save a place for us so see you about lunch tome thank you Kathy x
Will do. I have already said that you are joining us but will mention it again tomorrow morning. See you tomorrow.

Stunning morning here at Tafroute. Ice has melted on motorhome, the sun is up and not a bit of wind. It's going to be a fine day.
I knew Colin ' van was a puss magnet and now we have the proof. No wonder Izzy is going nut's.

Another great morning here at Tafroute. Yesterday was superb and the cold weather has left us, never to return for a considerable time.
Some random pictures taken here at Taf. The little hole in the ground is the home of the Trapdoor spider. there are a few here but are not a threat to humans and animals.

There is a bush approximitley 15 feet from my Motorhome and everyday it is visited by a number of different species of birds, mostly Warblers of various kinds of which I'm still trying to identify because the little shite's will not keep still, and show enough of themselves for me to identify them . Anyhow, I have with confidence identified the following.
Common Bullbul (who love oranges)
Blackcap
Arabian Warbler
Tristam's Warbler
Willow Warbler or Chiffchaf
And several other's through out the day I am unable to recognise, all from my chair by the side of the Motorhome.
I have tried taking pictures but do not have the right lenses and the they are always on the move.

Watch out for the ShyTalk species Phil, theres a lot of them around Tafraoute this time of year.

This morning, Tafroute.
The bird is a Great Grey Shrike. We see it most days perching not far from our motorhome. The other day Mena and I heard it singing, sounded like it was whistling down a pipe. A deep metallic almost flute like sound, beautiful
Off to the Hammam this morning with the rest of the boys and girl's then try to arrange viewing of England V Wales game in one of the hotels. A must not miss live game.

Marg says tell Meena to read Zohra's Ladder by Pamela Windo, female Hammams etc and a woman's experience of returning to Morocco in her 50's after being there as a young girl. Marg says she will love it!

Up early yesterday for our accent of the Grande Dune Merzouga. A chilly start but the tempreture soon ramped up, as did the sand. It was a tough walk but we made it to the top, enjoyed the view for a while and then ran down the side, which was great fun, each step covered approx 2 metres a time!

The dog is still not back to full health so we are starting our journey back to Europe tomorrow, after a farewell BBQ and a glass of bubbly with @Bentleybill and Kathy.

The walk to the big dune.

Still not at the base, the ground drops away again before you start climbing.

Very soft sand towards the top, the toughest part of the climb.

Made it, hot and sweaty but we are at the top!

Hi Jon and Sue
Yes that is the dog ,he was wearing a collar when we left and the Italian lady in the big camper at the end near the front was looking after him ....or have they gone and left him ,is he in the campsite or outside ?
regards Kathy

Internet connection.....at last! But not for long I suspect. It's been going from bad to worse and over the last couple of days unable to connect at all on site and having to go I to town for hotel WiFi.
Went into town last night and watched the celebrations. Spoke to quite a few young women who were all wearing tradional dress and they all could speak English, so learnt a lot. Don't be fooled by the black head scarf many of these younger females are well educated and intelligent.....but still have to sit on a wall while the men dance together LOL.
A cracking band on last night, great musician's and good harmonies. The young men were going nut's in their own moshie pit.
As an aside anybody hear anything from Terry & Colin's group! Have they all crossed back ? Are any of them still in Moroc ?
The sun is up here and it looks like we're heading for some good weather again after a dull day yesterday. Two days ago we hit 36 deg and we can exec that again very soon.
I will post pictures as and when. Dependant on Internet.
