Took a stroll down to the lagoon, it's a beautiful place

Help needed, we had a big blow out on our way to Sidi ifni, luckily we are ok but not so the van, the tyre is shredded and the wheel is buckled, the waste pipe bracket was ripped off and when we tried to take the spare wheel off we had to cut the cable to remove it as we didn't have the right tools to remove the nut so I need a new cable to return the spare wheel, we are 10km north of Midleft heading towards Agadir thinking it would be the best place to go as we are on our own and don't know Morocco to well, does anyone know of a good place I could go and get these things fixed.

Midelft - probably snowing up there is it? Yes as Mark has already said Mustafa in Agadir.

The chap you need is Mustafa tel Broken Link Removed.
13 Rue di Cheikh maa el Anine
N 30 25.256
W 9 34.610
Prices are VERY reasonable. He speaks excellent English and keeps you constantly updated with progress.
Coords will take you to A workshop called Trigano. Mustafa's workshop is at the other end of the row next door to a cafe. Just ask for Mustafa, everybody knows him.

As taken from Mikes (Makems) post last year

Hi everyone out here, We have arrived and are now at Ocean Bleu, Mohamedia.
Sorry to hear of your problems Graham and Jane, but Canopus has given the right advice.
We had problems last year with our fridge, and Mustafa sorted it.
Anyway hope to see some of you around in the next few weeks. We are off to L'Oulidia tomorrow.
Might buy some fish to have with our chips?(y):sneaky::sneaky:

Look out for Ali who takes orders for Tagines which he delivers to your van. They are the best we have had since being here.

Busman -much depends on what fish you have. A big fat Dorada is great if just split in two like a kipper and grilled with seasoning and a little butter under a grill - the bones will be visible and easy to avoid.

If Sole, pull of the dark skin with your hands (easy if fish is very fresh) season, dust lightly in flour and shallow fry on medium heat skin side down in butter and olive oil for about 5 minutes. Turn over for a few more minutes to brown, add some lemon juice and serve with whatever you fancy.

Monkfish tastes wonderful cooked in tinfoil or parchment paper with a little butter, seasoning, lemon slices either cooked n the oven or covered frying pan cooked gently.

Various other fish will probably be best filleted (specially if they are very bony) and shallow fried in seasoned flour with butter and olive oil. Keep the bones, head etc, and after gently simmering for a while in water, used the strained stock to a fish Tangine instead of water. Each will give you a "tread on like a navy's boot"

I love fish!

Regards, tgee

tgee that's brilliant thanks,

As a matter of interest, how much do they charge for the vino-collapso?

Grand afternoon had today.
Lunch out with Tim and Ali @Ali n Tim, Derek and June @Portland, Lynne and me.
Restaurant Traditional, recommended by Derek & June, a few doors down from chicken shack. Kefta tagine with eggs and side order of beans for 6 with a hubcap each. Six clean plates were all that was left.
Followed up by donuts from the shack and coffee at the hotel before a slow amble back.
Some pics below for directions as it is tucked away.
Ps first pic I had a mouthful!

Sorry to hear of your blow out. If you had contacted us directly we would have given the same advice about Mustafa as we have used him in the past and we could have travelled down to you. Glad you are now getting things sorted out. Enjoy your stay in Agadir.

It's amazing the damage one blow out can make, luckily Mustafa can fix it all but will take 4 days, it will be worth it in the long run. Thanks to all who offered help advice and support when we needed it most.

Glad to hear you've got things sorted (y)

As we were stuck on roadside we needed to reach as many people as possible.

Ok help needed, will be heading down the coast over the next few weeks so will be sampling the local fish, the fish man comes round in the morning what's the best way to cook them ?? Don't have a BBQ (yet)
Thanks in advance
I've always found heat is the best method.
We have now arrived at Dela and pitched up in a camp site. The views as we drove into what I can only describe as a massive bay from the desert was jaw dropping. So good in fact that we want to drive the 20 K back just to have a proper look and we will in a couple of days time as there was a whole load of motorhomes parked there in what looks like organised campsite. Mena shot some pictures as we drove through so there will be something to post later. The view from our pitches on the campsite are great will post some pictures later and provide useful info on stops, roads etc.

This lovely boy is pulling at my heart strings. The story goes that he was abandoned by a motorhome a month ago and has been hanging around the campsite ever since. The site owner took him into the hills to get rid of him, but he found his way back. I want to take him on but Colin won't hear of it.

He is so friendly and not nervous at all, even Izzy likes him. We have named Tagga. Here he is sleeping in the shade of our van.

Is Izzy in love and is he a sneaky boy ???? Do as your master bids, now that you are married. Welcome to the club.
