Morocco 2015

Curry made, I have tasted it, I will leave it for the others tomorrow, I will leave it for the others tomorrow, if I say it enough times maybe I will! It's good, even if I do say so myself, now then, if I make it hotter maybe it will be to hot for them, that means more for me, is that fair? No just plain greedy, ok I'll leave it as it is, piffle!

Just been out for a meal at Essaouira with Simon & Marg to a beach side bar just at the end of the Guardian Car Park. Meal was mediocre but they had singer with a guitar who wasn't half bad. We helped him out on Johnny Nash's I can see clearly Now, and I then volunteered Simon to do a couple of songs. The audience seemed well impressed, more so, the owner as he gave us four beers on the house.
It's going to be a bright, bright, sun shiney day!

Arrived at Tag! Formed a square with 3 others right overlooking beach next to sandbank. Ideal spot, but we've upset a German - say we're blocking their view. We ain't but tough anyway, we're here and we're staying! Have spotted Suggy and Dazzling, will wander over tomorrow.
Now for some proper us-time!
Saw your van when you spoke to Graham yesterday, would have popped out to say hello but in the middle of something. I'm along side Graham and Darren who will be moving a short distance later today for a better position and I may join them in 1/2 days as another decent spot by them may become vacant. Will wander over later and say hello, providing the Immodium holds my shit together.

Might buy something musical in the souk today!

We are here at last, parked up with Mike and Gwen (Makems) near Asilah. Very good crossing and no problems apart for heavy rain and gale force winds (not on the crossing but on the roads).

All the internet stuff sorted out and after a couple of hours and several drinks in their van latter, we have a plan for the next 2 months. See you out there somewhere.

Great news that you are in Moroco at last .

The weather is better here on the other side of the mountains ... So Come on down ..... Lol

Good crowd here . Tag filling up fast now . Convoy of Frogs in MH and caravans arrived today .

Another memorable day in Maroc. Ate Chicken Shawarma and falafel for lunch and loved it.(y)

Then for dinner, we had a splendid beef Ruby Murray courtesy of Simon & Marg. Many thanks from all of us. (y)(y)

Followed by an impromptu sesh on a 30/- shilling Uke, on which Simon made it sound like the dogs doodahs. However, 'Wet Dream' by Max Romeo was a poxy record back in way not when, which sounded even poxier on the Uke in 2015.

Finally he got his blonde Gibson out and we had a good old sing song. By the way its chucking it down in Essouaria.:(

Is there kayaking opportunities there Sue or is it all big waves? How long are you staying there for? We are on concrete at the mo, but once we've waved the Makems off we are making our way along the coast.

A big thank you to Mike and Gwen for guiding us through our first couple of days in Marc and especially for the map. Yes we really did come without a map

We waved them off for their long trek to meet family in Marrakech and we will shortly be off along the coast to somewhere else.

If you want to make any headway then you would be better heading down the toll road to Marakech, then carry on the toll to Agadir then hang a right up to Taghazoute. Save the coast run for the return journey when hopefully it should be warmer. Wouldn't chance a kayak off the coast here yesterday. Strong tides and big waves.

Lovely run down from Essaouira to Taghazoute, nice stretch of road lovely scenery, lovely sea views and have now arrived at some sort of hippy commune for retired folk, have to say it beats wandering round Tescos and going to Halfords looking for something to do:) giving Google Ken some quiet time, now time to re invade, love it! Think there's more funsters here than at Lincoln!
