Arrived in Tafraoute.

Hope to catch up with you guys but Lynne said today " do we have to go to Tafraoute?"(and it was our favourite spot last year)
We are pretty settled on Taghazout and may just chill here for the duration but only been here for 2 weeks so plenty of time to change minds and move on if we get bored.
Off to Agadir on the bus tomoz with suggy & rosie.

Had a nice meal tonight just off Jemaa el-Fnaa square at the Restaurant Oriental. Excelent food and surroundings if not a tad pricey. They had Champagne available at £98 a bottle but we resisted. Sorley tempted with the street food on the stalls but a little worried by sheep heads, brains and snail broth on offer. Bought 50g of Ras el hanout spice in readiness for Tagine making. Spoke to two American guys from their Embassies in Rabat and Mauritania who were on a weekend off. Great evening out.

Marakesh, vibrant place. Watch your handbags ladies, Marg caught a young lad (about 15) trying to slip his hand into her bag, she yelled "What are you doing" at him, and biffs him on the arm, he then apologised and walked off. You get a much nicer type of pickpocket in Morocco!

Busman Dave is now officially "Mr. Moustache" and praise to Allah, I am now "Skinny" Well that's what they called us when they were trying to get us to eat or buy stuff at their stalls in the Souk!

Great night with great company, was looking forward to seeing the Jemaa el-fnaa square again and it didn't disapoint :-), yep that's me Mr moustache ha I can understand that but Dabhand Mr Skinny lol. 5 of us £7 ew in a taxi worth it just for the experience.

Had a fabulous tour of Marrakesh today, which was centered around it's history (at my request) and some of it's popular places. So glad we visited and explored the city with someone who knew it's history in detail. Will post a few pictures and save the majority for a showcase at a later date.
Plan to just chill for the rest of today, take in a few beers and will to a night visit tomorrow of the Square and then probably head of to Taghazout and join up with other Funsters. Can someone provide me with exact location of Funster location. I can get to Taghazout no problem but not quite sure

where the rest are hiding down there.

Sitting in the campsite at Safi as highlighted by Horsham Jack. It is blowing a hoolee. So I wrote a poem

Morocco, is there a word that rhymes with Morocco?

I have been up all night drinking Cocoa

slurping wine till I got Blotto

Sitting alone in a dark damp grotto

Getting help from a Glaswegian called Jocko

Eating a cheap Italian risotto

Heaping money on the lotto

And checking the odds with Motto

But still I cannot find a word to rhyme with Morocco. Damn.

Hi Dave congratulations on getting to Morocco Joyce has been reading your posts and slight problems
but you made it, the Moroccans must be a very truthful race we like Mr Moustache but 'Mr Skinny' the truth always hurts lol have fun John

All mucked in and had a brunch around 1pm during a sunny spell. Bacon, eggs, sausage, black pudding, tomatoes, mushrooms, beans and hub caps.

Sat around chatting when Terry, Brenda and Colin, Tina arrived here. So now there are nine Funsters at Le Relais. However, I think the latest arrivals have brought the rain with them from Ocean Blue:eek:

However, the arrival of rain might have something to do with the fact that I washed the van which was absolutley filthy.

Er, no. I've done my bit!:p

But seriously it's not as daunting as you might think. Just keep following this thread to read of our adventures, have a look at the Morocco 2014 thread, and for the admin bits, download my contribution from the resources section (which I'll update in due course with the couple of variations we discovered). Anything else, just ask.

Don't just think about it; do as the current group have, DO IT!:):):)

Terry, please what are the updates? We are finally leaving U/K Tuesday and will be coming over ASAP.Are they important or should I stop worrying? ....?.Martin ( the nervous wreck )(y)
