Yeah it's another one from basevans.Did you se the one on eBay last week, one of the last made completely rebuilt chassis etc, LWB panal van, no interior but mega miles, all for 30k. I must admit I would have liked it as a blank canvas.
Yeah I'm interested to see how it turns outl am still awaiting the launch of your old one by Wissel and your reaction to it.
No,no,no,no! With Tam it’s more…”If it ain’t broke…sell it before it is, and buy another one to do up”. He can’t help it!!Now't wrong with your current one, is there? As they say "If it ain't broke...."
No intention to sell this one at the minute , I've jobs still to do to it to improve it but as long as it stays reliable I'm happy with it for now. Now't wrong with your current one, is there? As they say "If it ain't broke...."
He 's run out of credit.Don't you go starting him off again, I don't think we could take him swapping and changing any time soon ... especially not @Lenny HB !!!
Some people do spend a lot of money on them. The pic of the Dutch one I posted on my last trip, it looked like a brand new van the paintwork on it was immaculate that alone must have cost a fortune.Yeah it's another one from basevans.
That Belgian couple spent €60k building that yellow one. Crazy money .
Yeah and they command high money if in good nick and done to a good spec. But its a gamble. I don't really want to be spending upwards of 20k on a van these days. I'm still attracted to something older . I think if I change again I'll be definitely exploring what I can buy from Germany. Some people do spend a lot of money on them. No I've given up on the idea of buying in Greece for now.Great properties to do up if you are able or know someone who comes recommended
Tam have you looked at prices around here?
Over here it's a blessing at times but the right hand drive was sometimes good for taking photos and was handy for pulling the van right over to the side when passing on narrow roads. But lhd handier for somethings ... overtaking etcGreat posts Tam - thanks.
Just wondering how you are getting on with the left hand drive, especially when you are on your own. Is it more convenient and safer than pootling around in RHD??
Overtaking!!!Over here it's a blessing at times but the right hand drive was sometimes good for taking photos and was handy for pulling the van right over to the side when passing on narrow roads. But lhd handier for somethings ... overtaking etc
Yeah that's one of the few inhabited houses in vathia..I think it's a holiday rentalI like the earth-tone and natural colours of the Greek villages in your photos, Tam. In one of the photos someone has a bright yellow market umbrella on their terrace and it sticks out like a sore thumb and looks so wrong.
Yes dogs very good with horses, sheep etc . Not a peep out of them even milo . Only people and other dogs he has a back at lolBeautiful.
Solar powered lighthouse, quietly going about its business keeping sailors safe, until some little scrote comes along and nicks the panels and batteries
Are all the dogs off lead with the ponies around?
That's a result, I'm on my 3rd Ridgeback and only when they get to later life can you trust them not to go hunting!Yes dogs very good with horses, sheep etc . Not a peep out of them even milo . Only people and other dogs he has a back at lol
Well she's lost a little of the weight she'd gained when back home but I think she's probably at her optimum size now. She seems happy enough. Is Ela getting quite trim now with all that exercise? Lovely pictures of a lovely place as usual - thanks.
