Evening .
After a wee walk along the beach this morning
we left that lovely wee spot and headed south. Thought I might need some lpg so went in to fill that up €0.84 a litre here ...most are over 90 -98 . So a bit dearer than Italy. Anyone I only managed to squeeze in €7.20 so I obviously don't use as much lpg as I thought. I won't bother filling up again for a month or so .
Then we arrived at Elia beach. Not as many vans here as previous years , maybe 50 vans spread over the 3km of beach. Mostly Germans this time. The first place I parked I'd only just got out the van and a guy came over said welcome ...then asked me if I could move as his friend was arriving in about 15 minutes .. consider I'd parked a good 30 meters from him I declined and headed off to the beach. Can't be arsed with these territorial buggers who park on free spots then think they can dictate where others parked.
So we went off for a walk around , ela obviously remembers the place and she was a bit freaked out I think , we met a few strays but none of the ones that were here before so unless they were just hiding/sleeping somewhere I'm not sure they're here anymore which is weird because the 2 German shepherd types and the 2 bog old Greek shepherd's had been here for years according to that German woman we met at the vets with ela. Maybe I'll see them over the next few days .
Anyway we had a wander about and I spotted a nicer wee place to park so after I'd had some lunch I moved from the third reich which I've no doubt will have pleased him.
Some cool vans here but nothing like there was in 2020.
I realised today it's almost 2 years to the day since I was here last. I arrived 6th December last time and met ela , and I finally got her in the camper on the 12th and took her to the vet on the 13th .
Then I decided to fix my mirror , it isn't the neatest job but at least it's secure now and it's fixed in a better position than originally. Now I can see out of it without having to lean way back in the seat . . Once I've rubbed it down and given it a coat of paint it will look better .
