MoHo since March 2018.
Yeah for me you can’t have the same thing containing alcohol and alcohol free. It can be a tasty drink that looks like something else but it isn’t the same thing

Good point is how can alcohol free drinks be the same price as alcohol varieties?
Is it more expensive to extract the alcohol after brewing?, making it the same price as having paid alcohol tax?

We tried this when Morrisons had it on offer. You tip the can once, open and pour straight into the glass.

Very acceptable!

I would think it’s an additional process to remove the alcohol which they use to try to justify the price.
Tried many alcohol free drinks over the years and they are not the same as the original.
There were only one or two that I would consider buying again.

It's an extra process over what you do with alcoholic versions so will cost more to produce however they'll then sell or use the extracted alcohol elsewhere but obviously they still have to do more work, invest in more plant etc to do it.

They still pay tax but at 5% instead of 20%.

Why don’t you use Lino floor tiles for the floor Tam if your no good at laying Lino.Easier to do small bits at a time and easier to cut. 👍
As for the Guinness, glad you liked it. Now when you’re away you can have an Irish diet……six pints of Guinness and a potato. 👍 Cheers.

Yes lino tiles were the final decision. They're ordered and will arrive mid week hopefully. The post here isn't as bad as Gary said as I ordered ratchet straps yesterday and they arrived first thing this morning

A little bit of progress , floor is now all glued up and closed ...just to be tiled once I've removed the old stuff . It will have 2 different floor surfaces again but should be a lot tidier .

Yes. It is very expensive to extract the alcohol. It needs expensive equipment that uses a lot of power.

They use reverse osmosis which is what is used for desalination.

I think the Guinness 0 is a different yeast, there's little or no alcohol when it ferment.

But much smaller volumes?

And the market will bear it!

My one and only comment on alcohol v non alcohol then gonnae change subject as yer boring me.

If I don't want to drink alcohol I have a Coke or a fresh orange and lemonade, having a non alcoholic beer or cider would never cross my mind ..I just don't see the point.

Now moving on swiftly

Can I suggest you put the plug in the washbasin. You don’t want one of those screws to go down the hole. 🔩
... also put some tape over the shower plug hole for the same reason and keep the loo lid down. 😄
