MOBY GOES TO TURKEY. A tam and pups adventure.

Yes I saw carp in tanks in a Tesco I was in, in Wroclaw or somewhere a few years back, they seemed to be a bit of a delicacy, but not for me either, I would rather have a big bowl of pierogi & sour cream 😋

I think that would put me off even more than if it was an Autotrail.
Why have they put Autotrail’s logo on the front and back, I wonder.
Just daft folk that think it makes it look better .. when I bought the old iveco a few years back the previous owner had eldiss stickers all over it lol.

That's quite a nice self build though. OK so the graphics aren't the best and the colour choice of upholstery isn't great but the cabinets etc look good.

I personally never see upholstery anyway as its always covered in throws for the dogs

Bit pricey though. I'd not give 30k for it .

But overall it looks alright

In Poland they eat Carp as a speciality, e.g. for Christmas Dinner. I refuse - dirty fish.

How can it be dirty ...it lives in feckin water .
They are bottom feeders and are very earthy,my understanding is that once caught to get them right for eating you keep them alive in ever changing fresh water (a Bath) and over a couple of days the earthy flavour disappears and nice tasting fish is left but still for an acquired taste.

In days of Yore my Father caught Pike/EELS/ Carp and exchanged them for edible vegetables at a Greengrocers where the owners was a really old women that was probably born a century back.

Should really have been called crap then rather than carp .

Was in Australia a few years ago, carp were introduced years ago & have taken over ,the river looked like a fish farm , fling in bread & the surface bubbles, caught these in 30mins on the Murray river SA , as an invasive species it’s illegal to put them back so was feeding the pelicans 😊,

Nowadays you’ll be lucky to find any water in the Murray River.

Tam , I see you’re still on Ella beach , how is Ela , returning home ? , are there any of the dogs that were there still there ? Do you think Ela remembers anything of previous life there ?

Yes still at elea, moving on tomorrow, none of the dogs she knew are here now , we looked for them in December buy they'd all gone . There are many other strays here though and 3 litters of puppies . But all different ones from before.

I'm sure she probably has some memories of the place as we've been here before but she's got no desire to live here I don't think .

Although she does love that river...she spent the whole time at the beach again today doing the same thing ... just playing with the fish .

The purple aside you gotta admit that's a well built truck. . It has endless storage and is fully off grid .

Granite worktops though I mean what the feck 😅
Aye, that's a proper full time van there and looks like it needs very little to sort it out, example being ditch them granite tops for a start! Lol offer him 25k to take it away 😉

**Just seen by the ad it's located in Ireland so did a bit of quick research there and its a boy called Shane McCuddy at McCuddys Motors Fermanagh and he seems to have a good name in the trade, and more importantly plenty of storage! 😂

So we left elea this morning , nipped in to kyparissia, filled the water tank and lpg €12 at 0.74l ...that's pretty good for 3 weeks use of fridge, and cooking.

Went to lidl then headed up the coast, I tried a wee garage in kalo Nero to see if he could adjust my handbrake cable but without looking at it he just said it was too heavy. Try a garage in pyrgos...so I carried on , stopped in pyrgos .. bought a wee step to assist milo sometimes and so I can reach the top of my windscreen 😁 quite sturdy €11, and then went in search of a garage .. I found a Peugeot/citroen garage on the outskirts and asked them ... guy asked me to drive inside straight away and before I'd even turned off the engine he was on his back under the van. In the end they didn't even jack it up but 2 of them were under there about an hour with various tools and a blowtorch ...it was seized solid but they got it eventually. Even the boss was under there at one point in a shirt and tie lol ... came out filthy . All the mechanics making a fuss of the dogs taking photos etc , brought them cold water and a biscuit each ... brought me a 1.5l bottle of ice cold water .. and in the end they said €20 for cash .. all done .

So that's one less thing to worry about , I'd tried to adjust it myself a few weeks ago but got nowhere as I couldn't budge it. So hopefully it's now good enough for its mot . Parked up about 5km north of pyrgos at a wee beach ...not sure if staying here tonight yet.

Careful Tam, you are probably the biggest 'Trader' on MHFun over your lifetime.
Lol traders rarely use or have any knowledge of the vehicles they sell . I don't generally buy a vehicle with the intention of just selling it , I've personally uses all of mine.

That guys not used that camper he's just bought it to sell it or selling it on behalf of the owner. From speaking with him on WhatsApp he's not got a clue about it.

So how do traders like that know what to buy and at what price? In order to make a profit.
