We were informed whilst there over Winter, that the Saudies approached the Moroccan Goverment and said “ if you clear all illegal coastal houses we will build high class hotels”.
It seems to be happening!
Looks like they were right.
Mitch.

Shame that ... I've no doubt for the one side of tourism it will lose it will gain another .. probably wealthier tourists.

But I can't help think from my experience of Morocco that wealthy tourism doesn't help the poorest locals in Morocco I think it just increases an already huge divide.

I thought that when I saw it myself ...the king might be fairly young and have ideas of making Morocco more European etc but I didn't get the impression he cared much for his people.

Yes it's not in my chest, no wheezing or bringing anything up its just tickly and irritating. I don't think I have a chest infection . The blocked ears comes and goes. 2 days ago really blocked yesterday not so much but one is blocked again today. I was going to find a pharmacy today but then I realised it was Sunday so I'll have a look tomorrow . I think some lemsip or something would help as hot drinks...coffee etc seem to help .

I've been taking a mix of paracetamol and ibuprofen. From morning to bedtime but nothing overnight but I'll run out of those today
Looks like a severe case of man flu

Ref Blu, get her done Tam. We had our Tazzy (middle in photo) done before she had her first heat, she's 12 now and she's never had any issues from not having had a season. We did have one dog many years ago who she suffered terribly with her season, it lasted a long time and she was very, very sore and fretful because of not being 'clean'. Since then we've always had them done as early as possible as we'd hate any other dog to go through such a terrible time as she did. The only deciding factor for us has been if the dog is big enough for the op to be done safely, Minky (right) was a smallish dog so had to wait until she was older and thus had a season however our Bella (left) was a bit bigger at the same age so hers was done before her season.

Tam, on the subject of cordial availability outside the UK it is popular in France where it is called "sirop" so if you come across any Carrefour or similar supermarkets in Turkey they may possibly stock it. The bottles are often made of metal rather than glass and could be in the booze section for use as a mixer.

Hands down it's the worst cold I've had in a long long time . Just makes you feel miserable, can't be arsed doing anything as I'm immediately coughing and out of breath
Get it sorted Tam, look after yourself. Those pups need you to be well and they will get bored and start wrestling with each other like mine do. Whenever we are in the van we try to have a sleep in but the van always starts rocking around 6am and it's not us, it's them wrestling:giggle:(y)

I agree with all you say, the king has an entourage of 300 ‘family’ who he flies around in a collection of planes.
Bloody fascinating country though, keeps drawing us back.
Enjoy your trip and I hope the ‘lurgy’ passes soon. Ours took about 3 1/2 months.
Shitty.

We had Meg spayed before her first heat. She is nearly 13 and absolutely fine.
I would get it done as soon as possible, you don't want the hassle of a bitch in heat while travelling.
Has Milo been done ? Size is no problem to dogs even where the male needs a ladder.

Ha ha yes the other 3 have all been done although milo does try it on with the 3 girls ...I think it's mostly a dominance thing. I'm going to look in to having her done next week I think .

Not had any luck finding a pharmacy yet ...had a nightmare trying to locate and park at a supermarket in one town ..the supermarket's here aren't that super and many don't have carparks so I ended up in narrow streets trying to navigate back out the town... i did have one success this morning though , I needed more dog food and not every supermarket has it but by chance while at some traffic lights I was next to an animal feed shop and he had the 15kg bags of dog food ...so I managed to get parked nearby and went to have a look .. he wanted 595tl for a bag which isn't too bad for here .. so I thought I'd just use the last of the dog fund money and get a couple of bags for strays...so in the end I negotiated 3 x15kg bags and got it for .......1200tl ...now that's a bargain . Feckin vans full of dog food now though lol.

We had a dog who was a cross Jack Russell / German Shepherd ... her father was the GS so either a stool was by her mum or the GS was able to do 'it' whilst kneeling! 😄

See there's the problem lol 😆 different folks have different opinions .

Jade was done at 6 months , ela at roughly 9/10 months

The couple I travelled in Morocco with were leaving the pup they rescued till it had had its first heat and then they got caught out in Bulgaria as the pup went in to heat they didn't know and when it was off the lead it got mounted by a stray dog and she kept running away from them back to the stray .. so they then had the problem of having to find a vet pronto to get the morning after pill for dogs.

Having not had a dog in heat I'm worried in case I don't know and she gets caught my a stray too.

And of course the timescale, she was 6 months at the start of April so that means if I wait till 9 months that would be July when I'll be in Germany or summat or then back in the UK.

She's definitely not fully grown yet but she's now as tall and as long as ela ...just not as broad.

Vets in Belgium are on average much cheaper as in surrounding countries and pretty good👍

Typical male, they always find a way to get in:ROFLMAO:

Not me…. I miss my knee tremblers…….😆😉 :imoutahere:

Our little Brandy was just about six months old when she as spayed. She is now 16 years old and not had any related problems. That is her in my avatar, taken some years ago - mum was a Jack Russell x poodle, dad was a pinscher.

The dog in question called Kizzie, aka Piggy as she looked like a little piglet when she was younger, this was her at 16 playing in the sea.

We have photographic evidence ( though I won't post it😄) of Rottweiler bitch and Wire Haired Dachshund dog caught in the act! The tart that she was, she laid down for him. Complete accident I may say. I didn't think it was possible 🤔

Tams not talking much Turkey right now as he is not very well and worried about Blu coming into season as she will run off and look for a male. We are just talking amongst ourselves until he gets back. Chill bro:giggle:(y)

Turkey seems to have taken a back seat on this thread.
To be honest there's not much happening in Turkey at the minute. The black sea coast is uninspiring sadly. I looked a bit inland on Google and it wasn't much better. The park up spots are pretty crap too. We spent last night in the carpark of a closed restaurant by a small shipyard. Nothing really to even take photos of its just plain town after town. I've tried asking friends I know who've travelled Turkey a few times for places to go see but most haven't done the north as usually too cold and/or they've also found it a bit dull.

If anyone on here has places to recommend I'm all ears otherwise I'm just driving for a few hours each day in the right direction.

Also this cold has worn me down a bit , and I want rid of it ASAP so I've spent a lot of time just cuddled up with the mutts.

When I find stuff of interest I will post it honest

How long will it take you to get to a warmer climate, sorry if you have discussed your route previously but I gave motorhome fun a break whilst travelling without the motorhome in Jan/feb/march and your feed had so many pages I just skipped to the current pages, heck I missed the acquisition of blu.
