MOBY GOES TO TURKEY. A tam and pups adventure.

When you sit outside here it's like being on a farm all I can hear is sheep ,cows ,dogs ,roosters etc ..
We've stayed regularly in a Turkish coastal village called Turunc, not far from the resort of Marmaris, and it sounds just as you've described. :giggle:

Just everybody keeps chickens. And the cocks wake up early ensuring everybody else does the same... ;)

Looks light enough to manhandle, as many caravanners do, thus the handles on many.
Interesting thing I've noticed here. Lots of these tiny wee caravans but very basic and no handles on them. No fridges etc or toilets . I imagine their very light as I've seen Renault clios towing them.

That wee caravan is so close to you it looks like you are towing it. I thought you had gone and bought yourself a passion wagon so you can get some private time away from the dogs :giggle:

I had to do a double take of that sign with the statue of the bloke at the side sitting on something ... didn't realise it was a dolphin at first and wondered what he was so 'pleased' about! 😄

Fantastic photos. Scrolling through and suddenly a cow is just looking at you.
some flipping big cats too

Yeah there were a few inquisitive cows ...and one was just a baby..very cute. Couple of lambs and baby goats too. The herder has all sorts , sheep ,goats and cows . Brings them down through the village in the morning and back around 5pm . Brings the town to a standstill lol

I love cows and sheep. I am surrounded by them, I can't believe I still eat meat. Edited to say the farmers around here have offered me free meat for using my field but I can't eat something I have known.

Love looking at the sheep in the field next to us, cows are more interesting but when we had cows in the field the house was always full of flys. And of course when they stuck theirs heads over the fence and ate 'er indoors plants, I got the blame for strimming them.

Tam. How is your Turkeyometer after a few days?
Too early to say but it gets me out of shengen for 3 months and whilst it's not tropical the sun is back at least so it's comfortable t shirt weather. I'll reserve my overall view of turkiye till I've been here a while I think.

Spotted a vet practice here while out for our walk , he could speak some English which always helps so I took blu back to have her second dhppi vaccine done , it's a little bit early as the first vet had said between 5th and 12th Feb but I thought while there was a vet here I'd just get it done. I also picked up worm tablets and flea and tick treatment for the other 3 as they're about due. He also had big 15kg sacks of puppy food at 700Tl ( £18.50 ) so I got one of those too ...God knows where I'm gonna keep it as limited storage in here. It's in the shower at present.

But compared to the £12 I paid for 2.5kg of puppy food in Greece its a bargain.

The vaccine and the 4 worm tablets 3 fle/tick treatments came to 2250Tl ( £58 )
