And then we arrived at Toroni where we parked up by the beach , we had a walk towards the old acropolis on the hill but the sign said 2.7km and after we had walked 4.2km and still not got to it we turned back as blu was getting tired
Nice view up the hill though

Yeah I think it's pretty normal. The last 2 years I was here it was quite similar although 2 years ago there was a lot more rain November and December. This year I've been lucky and its been dry . I expected it to be colder in the North than it was in peloponnese, I expect Turkey to be similar till I get down south a bit.

Summer time the temps are up in the 40's which is too hot for me really and the dogs and very very busy with tourists. I think the shoulder seasons would probably be the most ideal .

Thought of you yesterday Tam Northernraider watching Ben Fogle New Lives in the Wild. Visited Niall Harbison who's set up a sanctuary for street dogs in Thailand. Inspiring. Not only is he saving, helping the dogs but it seems the dogs saved him too.
His ultimate aim is to reduce the number of street dogs worldwide by 1 million which seems a ridiculous target for one man but somehow listening to him, you believe he'll achieve it.
Apologies to non-dog lovers for thread drift 😎

Anyone got a spare million lying around ?

And it's not even brand new 🤣

I doubt it ... they have less fancy ones at £250k .
Actually thinking about it I do remember that company now, the owner used to build luxury yachts then moved to motorhomes, Newton Abbott based.

They used to do a lot of PVCs bespoke builds but then moved onto luxury coachbuilds.

We then continued north east and stopped to visit ancient stagira , the birthplace of Aristotle it's believed he's also buried here. I put the drone up to get a better layout of the old city as its quite hard to work out from the ground ... I'd only had the drone in the air 5 minutes and some out of breath highly strung woman came to tell me it wasn't allowed ... she was getting mauled with the dogs while I brought it back from way over the harbour area . No signs or anything to say no drones and no kiosk or anything for entry just a unmanned gate so how they expect folk to know is anyone's guess . But anyway I'd got most of the pics I wanted before she came anyway and got the rest on the return flight. Its a free site to visit. Parked up on the quiet access road for tonight ...nice little private beach next to me.

That's ridiculous lol ..50 metres 🤣🤣 I can take those pics without a drone. I was at 120 metres high and 4-500 metres radius.

I absolutely love these photos Tam, tbh your an artist waiting to be discovered

But i’m concerned that Blu is going to grow into a donkey 🤣
My thoughts too she is a beauty.
