Thats my thoughts too.£3K doesnt buy much of an empty van atm
I just hope its as good as it looks from pics lenny ...if it does me till im finished the merc ill be happy ...might then sell it to me brother as hes thinking about getting a van.At 3k I reckon you will turn a big profit on that.
It is but its also under a big tarp at the minute ...the panels are sealed so i meant watertight as in not letting water in to the van i know the primer is porous. Ill be putting some gloss over it lateris that grey primer on the panels tam if it is do you realise its not waterproof?
No time for that at the minute lolYour recent van would be a good raptor paint test.
It even has a Two Dogs sign in the front window so appropriate for you and your two.I did wonder that but ive spoke to the guy on the phone and it sounds not bad ...well what i could decipher from the strong Yorkshire accent lol. Hes had it 8 years and now bought a motorhome. Its not failed an mot since 2010 which is good ..he says everything works in it and only issue is the diesel runs back to the tank on it at times but once started alls good ...i was for once willing to offer the full asking price but he surprisingly said " oh ill take a bit less " so we've agreed on £3k ....i can get a train tomorrow to halifax for £66 so just need to get a quote for insurance now .
Yeah im not sure what thats for....the other sign is for his grass track racing he doesIt even has a Two Dogs sign in the front window so appropriate for you and your two.
Good luck!Early start this morning ...just had breakfast now its out with the dogs in the dark as my train is just after 8am ....only got a 5 minute transfer time at Haymarket so i home the first train is on time ....i bloody hate rail travel its so stressful
Aye once im on the one to Preston its not bad as ive 30m changeover there. But 5 minutes at Haymarket is a bit tight.Hope it turns out well
Once you’re on the train I think it’s relaxing travel.
We are looking forward to another Greece thread, please go early this year, with a bit of turkey tooAye once im on the one to Preston its not bad as ive 30m changeover there. But 5 minutes at Haymarket is a bit tight.
Everytime im on a train theres problems
Not sure if im going to do Turkey this time or not ... depends on timing and insurance. Will seeWe are looking forward to another Greece thread, please go early this year, with a bit of turkey too
Yes ive always been a rubbish passenger. The problem for us motorhome users who are used to going at our pace to our time scale when we want is that you have to put control in other people's hands on public transport travel.
I for one hate that.
Have a Safe journey and a successful day
I dunno its just the route that came up on trainline ...this train goes to london but i change at preston , then on to halifaxI though the van was near Leeds, how come you are going via Preston, is it cheaper?
Yes, literally, on the roof!!they take it to another level.
Only allowed on Public Holidays now.Yes, literally, on the roof!!
I just entered Dunfermline to Halifax on my trainline app and this one came up as fastest and cheapest ....4 hours 50 minute's the next one was 5 hours 10 minutes and 30 quid dearer.Oh dear, I've only been on the transpennine crossing from Preston to Halifax once, never again.
In hindsight, the Waverly to Leeds (London train) would have been a lot quicker. I did a lot of train travel when I was doing contract work a few years ago quite enjoyed it.
Only place I found trains stressful was India, they take it to another level.
