Mercedes vario 814 self build bus to FLT palace

Nobody wants to bloody work at the moment… today I tried to book a mini cab from Paddington station to chingford, one website wants all your info including your inside leg measurements and won’t give you a quote until you put in your number and email…
Called Another local firm in London and I couldn’t understand the person and when I said a cab from Paddington station she kept saying “Kingston”… :doh:

I gave up… I’ll get a black cab to Liverpool st and hop on the train…. I haven’t been on a train or back to London for decades, I’m not looking forward to it as it’s going to be a nightmare 🤯

where abouts in chingford you going just up the road from me

Your inside leg measurements will be at least half the size of mine 😁
 
Im honestly starting to look around expecting jeremy beadle to pop out ..

Id just put mums car back out the drive and moved the wheel chocks etc from Toby to take it round to ATS when my phone went..." We've actually not got the space to get you in this afternoon ,richard didn't realise it was a motorhome ...we can possibly fit you in nearer the end of the week if thats ok "

You couldn't make it up ...so thats it ive blooming had it. Its not going out the drive again till the abs sensor arrives and i take it to have that fixed. I live in the van and its a pita having to pack everything away especially as ive been trying to pack stuff in boxes to store in mums loft etc .



As an aside lol ive had charlie from the vario group messaging me today asking about Toby as he sold his vario this morning and now wants a motorhome ...so if by chance this sensor doesn't fix the problem and I have to cancel the sale i may well have another buyer.

Every cloud and all that.



On the downside ive spent a whole day on this today and its been dry and sunny all day today that i haven't spent working on the vario ...and im off to work in an hour.

Days off tomorrow so im hoping i can get a decent shift in on the merc as i want to get inside the sills etc cavity waxed and the inner sills painted and stone chipped.

Its an easy ride on the tube from Paddington to Liverpool Street - Circle or Hammersmith trains eastbound! Much cheaper than a black cab and probably much quicker! Then London Overground out to Chingford.

staying clear of the underground, I’ll be on my own and not easy in a wheelchair…👨🏼‍🦽

A Cooper with the Cooper S conversion done by Cooper themselves at ferring… it’s had a lot of mods… I’ll do a little thread on it when I get it…👍🏼
