Looks like leaving the U.K. is not allowed at the moment

Thats hardly a comparison to be honest
Why? X number of people were killed last year due to being stabbed, some will have died from Shock, some from loss of blood and some from other conditions, so how should those be categorised as a main statistic?

But is that not what some are saying person X or Y died from a heart attack or organ failure and not from Covid. Yet it is Covid that caused swelling or one or more of the bodies organs to fail and therefore it was not covid it was X or Y which would have happened anyway. If it was not for the Virus those people may have lived for months or years longer even with the underlying health condition.

I just feel for all those that have been affected, either by death of a loved one or suffering fatigue or more through long covid. I suspect once this pandemic is over researches will gather information around the long Covid and review how people may still suffer from the damage it caused.

But I guess people will believe what they wish to believe its time for me to leave this discussion and wish all well

I think you need to read the laws. You are completely wrong.

There are some places where you must wear a face covering by law.
In England, you must wear a face covering in the following indoor settings (from 5 November, see the guidance on national restrictions to find out which of these settings remain open to the public):

  • public transport (aeroplanes, trains, trams and buses)
  • taxis and private hire vehicles
  • transport hubs (airports, rail and tram stations and terminals, maritime ports and terminals, bus and coach stations and terminals)
  • shops and supermarkets (places which offer goods or services for retail sale or hire)
  • shopping centres (malls and indoor markets)
  • auction houses
  • premises providing hospitality (bars, pubs, restaurants, cafes), except when seated at a table to eat or drink (see exemptions)
  • post offices, banks, building societies, high-street solicitors and accountants, credit unions, short-term loan providers, savings clubs and money service businesses
  • estate and lettings agents
  • theatres
  • premises providing personal care and beauty treatments (hair salons, barbers, nail salons, massage centres, tattoo and piercing parlours)
  • premises providing veterinary services
  • visitor attractions and entertainment venues (museums, galleries, cinemas, theatres, concert halls, cultural and heritage sites, aquariums, indoor zoos and visitor farms, bingo halls, amusement arcades, adventure activity centres, indoor sports stadiums, funfairs, theme parks, casinos, skating rinks, bowling alleys, indoor play areas including soft-play areas)
  • libraries and public reading rooms
  • places of worship
  • funeral service providers (funeral homes, crematoria and burial ground chapels)
  • community centres, youth centres and social clubs
  • exhibition halls and conference centres
  • public areas in hotels and hostels
  • storage and distribution facilities

You are expected to wear a face covering before entering any of these settings and must keep it on until you leave unless there is a reasonable excuse for removing it.

** " social distancing" doesn't come into it.
Thanks for proving my point. There is and never has been a rule to wear a face mask. Just a face covering.

No quite frankly

To use a local example Lenny HB was recently in hospital to have gallstones removed ...he was taken in as an emergency and needed an operation

He was tested for covid when admitted
Fortunately he came back negative and the operation was done

But had he tested positive and the operation was not done and the bladder ruptured and say in extreme cases he died

Covid would be put down as cause of death and not the ruptured bladder

Thats not factual reporting of figures thats downright misleading

I'd be very interested to see the actual true covid deaths as i suspect its far far lower

Greece released figures for their deaths
96% were over 70 with underlying issues.

Sorry to hear this, if you have seen the death certificates then I would complain if a relative had been knocked over by another vehicle and killed.
The family complained bitterly and the rti was recorded by the police as the cause of death. but the recorder is adamant and will not change it

Having said this I think there is enough evidence both from traumatised NHS staff and statistics from around the globe this is a very real Virus and is causing suffering and misery, even MoHo members are reporting this.
Which is why I posted the second part of the post

The virus is rampant here, and the virus is rampant there. Don't see what difference it makes crossing a border. Take precautions and get on with our lives I say 👍
As long as we are still around to get on with our lives! Rather play it safe for a few more months and also protect my nearest and dearest.

Are you allowed to travel through the Tunnel with motorhome during this lockdown. ?

This is the sort of thing that worries me. People not understanding.
I look at it differently which won't surprise you!
If instead of everyone wondering if they really needed to take any of the actions that have been taken to reduce spread they all decided to do everything I think we would be in a much better situation.

Mask, visor, veil, hood, scarf, yashmak, burka, all the same ,face coverings you're clutching at straws. Anything is better than nothing & Even face covering then why are they all not complying ?

We've a long way to go before we get our average age down that low.

My response was to post #59 which was trying to tell us which face coverings to use. When as far as I am aware there has never been a rule regulating the type of face covering. Just someone else trying to make their own rules up.

Re the average age of deaths from Covid in the U.K. it’s actually higher than the average life expectancy.

Saying someone died with covid is not the same as dying of covid

Ill obey what rules they bring out but i dont have to blindly believe the bull they spread

Im also not going to put my faith in big pharm companies , vaccines that have to be kept at -70° and the chances of everyone in the world having access to one

I also don't believe in santa , the tooth fairy or miracle's
Too right!!! It's manipulation of the truth, pure and simple. I think they call that lying?

Millions of good Brits died fighting to keep the country safe and uphold democracy. That means we obey ALL the rules, not just the ones you choose.

Tell that to well heeled second home owners going back and forth from tier 2 to tier 1 areas during lockdown!
Tell that to the old bill who choose to ignore those rule breakers!

That's just two examples of how they other half can live while us plebs are expected to comply?

People are like sheep, they will follow without questioning, which is why there is so much confusion about what we should be doing for the best....look at how the powers to be have led by example

Tis funny to read the posting of those who twist and re-interpret the wording to find loop holes. Go play out, but, please don't bleat if things go wrong.

Speaking French I sometimes hear the comments regarding "out of town folks" true maybe they are en-route home, but the image and impression taken is not always positive.

folks not following the rules because they feel they are not right, very small step to the video of the chap the other day emptying his cassette on the ground around his motor home.

How long IS that piece of string
