Looks like leaving the U.K. is not allowed at the moment

No non essential travel which, in France must be accompanied by a dated and timed attestation with the appropriate box crossed. Such are the rules, financial penalties in place for those who fail to comply and get caught.

I think transit from one restricted country to another is permitted with proof of returning to your home base or providing care for at risk person, or going to your second home for reasons of security including preparing it for winter, yep, apparently it is allow. There will be a few others I've forgotten.

But, for me and 'er indoors, for the moment, we will stay pretty much where we are.

Each to their own eh

Yes here is what I sent to a Funster

You should find here the form you have to fill up. I didn't read it at all... sorry had no time today, but you have it in English. Scroll down to find the english version.

So coming from spain, this is the form you need to fill up ; then what we call attestation sur l'honneur on which you write each of you:

Je, soussigné(e) , Monsieur/Madame XXX , certifie ne pas vouloir séjourner sur le territoire français mais être en transit pour rejoindre mon domicile sis à l'adresse suivante (you write you full adress) en Grande Bretagne.

Fait ce jour DATE à ACTUAL LOCATION

Fait pour faire valoir ce que de droit

Signature

Write it exactly as I did as each sign means something.

I've checked also if a test was necessary as it is when you take a boat or a plane and no, you don't need a test ..... as far as I know NOW. It could change but that is just impossible to know right now

Have at reach any document you have proving where you live.

Let me know if anything puzzles you

Safe travel back home!!!

Amicalement

Frankie

PS:
Je, soussignée is for a woman.................. Je, soussigné is for a man

I cannot believe people think transmission is not airborne ????? The amount of info we have had about transmission since mar ????? Truly astounding , words fail me 😂
Because we are getting lied to by the Government and devolved assemblies and presented with false information to cover up their errors and mistakes.

It is certainly not classed as airborne. It is in the exhaled breath of people that have it. it will fall to the ground roughly 2 metres away from the infected person. That is not what airborne means. Airborne means it is in the atmosphere around us all the time.

Point taken:
However it can still travel 2 meters in the air, which means unlike say Ebola or AIDS, which are not airborne at all, COVID is airborne to a limited distance outside.

Inside the distance can be further than 2m and with the help of air conditioning it can travel a lot further, a recent case was a single person managed to infect 90 other people on the same floor of an office due to the aircon

I don't know where you are but. How is me wearing a mask on Ilkely moor going to help to protect you. Today I walked 11.5 miles over the moor and saw thats saw not went near 3 people. How would me wearing a face covering protect them? the nearest was probably a quarter to a third of a mile away.
Needless to say - the government of 55 million people cannot make rules for each and every individual circumstance. But typically British behaviour to look for loopholes.

Following on from my comment about the uninsured driver. If they only gave him a fixed penalty notice for no insurance, does that mean they let him drive home without insurance. No way should that have been allowed.
I think its just bad journalism, in that they do not complete the story.

Couldn’t answer my question then .

I happen to be behind a “ Go “ hire motor home a few weeks ago in very slow moving traffic, the driver obviously had his window open, he was blowing out clouds of vapour from one of those stupid electric fag things, I shut my heater vent off and onto recirculate as the cloud was even enveloping the front of my camper.
I know we were moving but I’v watched these twats exhaling vast clouds even when they have been stopped or walking.
As far as I am concerned that cloud could be quite likely to be capable of containing the virus.

The virus IS airborne when you sneeze, cough or shout hence a mask will help prevent spread.
Here you have to wear a mask on a deserted beach or in your own car alone

It isn't airborne in the true sense of the word
If someone sneezes 2 miles away you wont catch it

I think this lock down is a joke. I travel to work daily and the amount of traffic is no different to any normal day. I'm also working in sight of the A38 and the stream of lorries etc is endless.
If a lock down is needed then lets lock down properly, not half hearted as we are doing.
I past a vacuum spares shop the other day that was open for business, essential???? I don't think so.

It would not have been allowed.

I doubt there are any circumstances that the Police would permit even the shortest of trips to be made on a public road without insurance.

It's easy enough to take out or renew insurance even on the side of the road, as long as you have a bank card and a mobile phone.

It is not airborne in the true sense of the word ...its passed by an infected persons droplets

That's why the reccomended distance is 2 metres and not 2 miles

What i find truly astounding is the amount of pedants desperate to be right that they deliberately twist what people say in order to win an argument

Wearing a mask outdoors when there is no one around protects no one

As it is not airborne in the true sense of the word .

Droplets are not carried any distance on the wind ...it is limited otherwise the whole population of the world would have caught it by now.

Thank god there is at least one other person that knows what an airborne disease is

I sit and work with 6-7 people in the office. But we can’t walk home together.... crazy rules and I can work from home but being asked to go to work 😡

Is your job essential? By essential I mean will people die if you’re not there? My job I do now isn’t but we’re still working so I’ll not knock others that are trying to make a living EG the vac shop.
I spent thirty years doing an essential job so know what essential really means. If we want to be really locked down then no and I mean no shops of any kind are essential not even food shops. We can live three weeks without food. So a proper lockdown of two weeks is quite feasible.

Easy here 1 hour 1km radius except for reasons on our sheet which we need to compété to leave the house .
Its the same here in greece , i had to fill out a form today in order to go food shopping,
But the crazy thing is youve to wear a mask while driving
Im in a motorhome i dont wear a mask all day every day in it but had to wear one while driving from here to the supermarket

I don't know where you are, but personally I think that making the rule very simple is the best rule.

The rule where you are appears to be very simple.
If outside your own home, you wear a mask. simple, to the point, and there are no gray areas or loopholes
Your rule is a good rule.
(Even if on a deserted beach you can not pass it to anyone)

Looks like the form for travelling through France will not disappear on 1 December

This is the one for greece

Perhaps Marcus Rashford can step in to deliver free school meals to us all when we run out of food which is essential even for those on diets.

The way I see it is, perhaps we don’t know the hole story. If they are Bulgarian nationals and want to repatriate them self’s they should be allowed transit. No country will stop you by force to go home. If you would want to come back to UK and you’re turned back at Bulgarian border, I think will be exactly what they tried to do.
This to me sounds a bit of setting a example on the back of a easy pray. The insurance is a different matter. Just a thought.
