LIFE AFTER HELGA !!!!

I has a difficult time with BIL today, most of it my fault, it is easy to miss type a number, I I got the passport number wrong. The site does not seem to have a time limit, so do it slowly
BIL got over £4500 so it is worth doing. If you are still having trouble give me a call tomorrow and I'll try to help.

I have actually successfully sorted it out!
Last 3 years books havnt been fantastic but I have got a grant that will cover all my rent, council tax and bits for the last 3 months,, so I’m well pleased!! Thanks les,, all good! Xx

I love the wall, looks really good. Is it hiding an older rough wall?

yes shrimp, he didn’t like the old wall that belonged to the pub next door, he also wanted to go a bit higher,to try to dampen some sound from the beer garden out! When they start drinking again! Lol

Within 6 working days of making a claim. 19th May 2020 if you claim tomorrow.

big map,, thanks for info,, I didsort it out, and it was exactly as you posted, all online, but done in five mins when able to get online! Cheers,, x

I don't know how it is working at the moment but normally if I return an item to Amazon I get the refund as soon as I hand the return package in.
0nly happens if Amazon supplied it, if a 3rd party supplier it takes ages.

Good morning,,,

got some money from HRMC this morning,, not millions, but it’s paid all my outstanding bills,, wich to be honest was only a bit of rent, and a bit left over! Good old Boris! Lol

I have a small wall to build next week, only a days work but it all helps! This big extension I’m supposed to be building is still waiting for the gas people to move a pipe, or make the existing redundant, so hopefully that will be ready sometime soon!

beautiful day, alls good in my world of solitude!! Hope your well too? Xxxxx

Good morning,,,

well I’m still of, waiting till next Wednesday, a nice days work,, I might hang it out for two days, same price, but just for something to do!!

I’ve just had a slow walk round my little flat, and to be honest the feeling of how lucky I am, hit me like a ton of bricks!!

I sold Helga, for what I thought was a good price on jan 1st,,, moved straight into my new build flat, furnished and sorted in 2/3 weeks,, got a bit of work to help me through, then the virus hit !!

I’ve managed to live, with not much work, or an excess of money,,, I havnt, thank god, been ill, or neither have my daughter, granddaughter etc, or indeed anyone i vaguely know!! The isolalation hasn’t hit me that hard, due to the fact that I spend a lot of my life alone anyway,, and as long as my kettles working I’m happy!!

but I still can’t help feeling that I’m so lucky, everything that’s happened, has happened after I had a result,, the sale of Helga, getting the flat, the new furniture and van, even the small amount of money I got as a grant from HMRC, all seemed to come at the perfect time! I have got through, so far, with no accrued debt, well none I can’t handle,, and I’m looking forward to this year at work, hoping it will be more profitable than last,,

so what I’m saying is that,, the world works in mysterious ways, and some of us are looked after, and some are less fortunate,, I will, still, be as charitable I can be, both with my money, time and help,,, All I can say is, I realise how lucky I am, and have been throughout this new year,, and believe me, I think that there’s thousands of people who would swap with me in an instant,,,, and I really do know how lucky I am !!! Xxxxxx

Great to read Ian and good to know all is well.

I think the virus has reminded a lot of us to be grateful for what we’ve got,and to be content with the simple pleasures in life.

Having said that,I often say to people “you make your own luck”,and that is true in your case, because I think you got off your arse and found work.:giggle:(y)

A favourite saying of mine "The harder I try the luckier I get". Well done Ian ianthebuilder (y)

It has made us realise how lucky we are to live in such a beautiful part of the country.100 yds and we are in the open countryside with lovely views and miles of footpaths..Have taken it for granted until now,,BUSBY..

Glad to hear your doing well Ian and put the dark clouds behind you.
It's so much more beneficial to look to the future and concentrate on the positives.
I think this virus has made us all re-assess our priorities and hopefully society as a whole will be a better place when we come through this.
Keep up the good work fella, Yorkshire Tea needs your tea consumption back where it was to keep profits up (y)

Good evening,,,,

not too much going on in my life at present,, but I am working tomorrow, a small wall for the same customer as the large wall !!

I also had a drive today, to a place called premier golf in the village I live in,, a 9 hole golf complex, store, driving range, course etc,, looked bloody lovely,, so I joined,,, for the princely sum of £40 per month!! I’m so pleased,, I can finally get off my arse and enjoy a healthy walk!! Considering it costs 10/15 quid on a round by round basis, I can play as often as I want, seven days a week!

I do hope your all ok, and looking forward to the opening of the high st,, If I think we will call it that after this episode! Maybe it will be called the sporadic st, or nearly empty street! All this lockdown and internet shopping is starving the crack head shoplifters,,,, spare a thought!!

anyway, I hope your well,,,, chat soon! Xxxx

I'm slumped on sofa and hubby has gone for a lie down after 18 holes in the heat of midday today! We don’t have a nine hole option but it would be nice as then its easier for it not to be the only thing you do that day.
Has the centre got a bar, nice for a bit of socialising (when we can of course), you are allowed to play with one person from outside your household so you might find a golfing buddy.
