LIFE AFTER HELGA !!!!

Well done Ian.
So glad we moved into a house with granny annexe a couple of years ago. The 2 and 6 year old grandkids keep us from getting bored. Other son and family are not far away but not allowed to visit at the moment.
Garden is looking better than it ever has but normally we would be at our place in France for a long stay.
No idea when we will get there. I read on another thread that France has banned tourists until end of September but haven't read that officially anywhere.
I think Ian's theory could be right but funds for work like that might be scarce for a lot of people.
Stay safe everyone, it will all end eventually.

Well done Ian looking after your neighbour (y)

Edit, do you know if it was CV ?

hi fig,,, well I don’t know, but he thinks it was !! He had difficulty breathing for a day or so, just tuffed it out ,, Saw him this morning, he brought half a dozen of my plates back, which was handy, I was spilling gravy eating through my fingers! Xxxxx. He is feeling and looking a lot better now!

Just be careful Ian some get it mild others not so lucky.
We have a guy from work in a bad way at the moment he is in an enduced coma on a ventilator and has lost a leg with sepsis

Good evening,,, lockdown is over ,,,,, for me!!
All materials delivered to job, dry weather given for tomorrow, a good start! My hands have gone soft as a baby’s bum,, so gloves will be required tomorrow, I’m sure!!

Social distancing will be in place,, and Stewart is going to give me ahand loading all the bricks and blocks out tomorrow,, he’s coming straight from his night shift at 5 am,, so I will take it easy on him!!

customer is very happy I’m starting as am I !!!

Now I have to get something off my chest,, I don’t like speaking ill of someone but I have been a bit gobsmaked today!!

den, the lad upstairs, really hasn’t been very well last and this week, and only yesterday did he say he was feeling better! But today I saw him go out in his car, and return with his little girl,, she’s 3 ,, I didn’t quite know what to think! I thought he was surely going to isolate for a week, after the episode,,, but I’m hoping it was just the flue, or indeed a heavy cold! But I was gobsmacked none the less,,, I hooe to Christ he’s fully recovered!!

Definitely a reckless thing to do. I do hope it was just flu and not CV. His daughter could get it asymptomatically and pass it on to others. That's the sort of thing social distancing is all about.

Don’t think some people are to sharp, bloke over the back had a BBQ and I could hear at least 6 different voices normally just him and his miserable wife.
Few house down the other Saturday had 2 different cars with kids in visit, was out cleaning the car for 3 hours and they were there all that time!

Well I just hope it wasn’t the virus,, he’s not a bad bloke, and I know he misses his daughter terribly, I shall keep my fingers crossed that it was nothing more than a heavy cold!!

right, I’m off to bed now, up at 4.30. Will update tomorrow evening upon my return from a day in the trenches!! Xxxxx

Good morning,, well done what I can,, they delivered the wrong bricks so I loaded out what I could, and there bringing or swapping tomorrow or sat morning,, so if off again till Monday! Oh well, such is life!! Another weekend of over eating, loads of tea, tv, fags etc,, a real rock and roll lifestyle I’m living at present!! I will be honest,, if this is what retirement is like, it’s a bloody good job I can’t!! Lol.
Anyway, nice to see you,, chat soon,, enjoy your weekend! Xxxxxxx

Good evening,,,

I have had a quiet day today,, but I have purchased something in error!

I bought, from amazon, a new chrome book, £269. And I must say it’s lovely,, BUT, I wanted a laptop and didn’t know I’d ordered any different!! I know nothing of tech, I find a laptop is better suited to my needs,, so with that in mind,, I can return the item , but it takes an age to get my money back, so does anyone on here want or need a new ( delivered today) acer chromebook? Or does anyone want to swap for a laptop, cash either way? Xxxxx

I don't know how it is working at the moment but normally if I return an item to Amazon I get the refund as soon as I hand the return package in.

I will do a straight swop, Ian...

That appears to be a basil faulty branch in very close proximity
To that poor defenceless lap dog

What do you want to do on a laptop that a chromebook can`t do ?
They do have limitations, but I changed to a chromebook and find it ok, but I find I still need my old laptop for some things, which is annoying.
Depends on what you want to do ?

I changed from a desk computer to a laptop then to a Chromebook, and now I do everything on a smartphone.
