LIFE AFTER HELGA !!!!

You could also try modern jive Ian. Lots of classes around. Great fun and easy to pick up. I started about 15 yrs ago when I was on my own, it kept me fit and I met lots of lovely people. Moved onto ballroom now but still love to jive.

Edit: always a surplus of female dancers ;)

Karen

or Ceroc that was fun although one or two nutters took it too seriously

Good evening,,,

had a decent day today,, feet on the ground, for a change,, all good! Bit chilly this morning, but a lovely day when the sun came out,, positively lovely!!

Les, no other trades on site mate, all others are just having a go at everything really,, my labourer is really keen, which makes him good, tell him once and he gets it, good lad he is!!

Now I’ve had a look at a few dance styles for something to do, and to be honest salsa is the only one I like The look of,, for a start I love the Latin music, and it’s Cuban salsa for me!! Xerox seemed a bit fussy for me,, modern jive doesn’t really do it for me either,, so it’s snake hips Young from next week! I shall be sharing all info, with pics as I go, and you can track my progress from beginner to ‘ who’s that bloke there? He’s amazing’. Lol.

I’m looking forward to it,,,

hope your all good,, Catch up tomorrow!

ps, for the past two nights, I’ve been watching a series on Netflix about formula 1
one of the best programs I’ve seen for years,, a real insight into the world of F1 , it’s made me really look forward to this seasons racing!
Brilliant series!! Xxx

I think that xerox style of dance ( that is posted above) is a copy of ceroc!! Lol
Yea Ok Ian....Copy That!
Tango/ Salsa is the way to go, the music & dancing is just amazing.
Check out Gotan Project on You Tube (been loving that band & vids for years now) Epoca & Diffrente are two classics.
Tried to see them in Paris a few years back, no chance fully booked.
Gotan is Tango Backwards so you should never forget the name, clever eh?

Any drains mate, give us a shout.

Hi Ian I know you are partial to the occasional ibuprofen tablet, it seems according to Doctors in London that it is not a good idea to take this at the moment because it affects your response in some way to the Corona Virus. Might be a good time to avoid it if you can. Take as much care of yourself as you can. Xx

yes I heard that yesterday, so I’m not taking them at the moment,, I’m afraid I’m listening to the frightening stories,,,

hi chas,,, I’m off now mate till builder gets foundation trench inspection, then poured with concrete, then materials have to be delivered,, so until next week I shall be , as usual, in isolation!! But I’m good,, I’m out tomorrow morning looking for t bags! Lol.

Nearly as rare as toilet rolls!

Good morning,,,

well I’m up and showered and sorted,, on my second brew and quietly planning my route and assault on a couple of superstores looking for Yorkshire t bags,,,, I was going to camouflage up,with that black paint stuff lined over my face, but maybe it’s a bit much!!

I spoke to Stewart yesterday, he’s got four kids and one has just, last week ( his 11 yr old) was rushed into hospital and diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, She’s home now, and getting used to counting her carbs, and using her pen injections, bless her,,,,

now they have had a bad time trying to get shopping, so I’m looking for a few bits for them as well ,,, loo rolls, mild cheese, coffee, So if I can get any for them I obviously will ,,,

I need tea bags, sugar, milk and tobacco,, I have a few bits in my freezer so I won’t starve , I hope all on here are ok

I shall update later after my assault on Asda, Sainsbury’s etc,,, Have a good morning! Xx

Ian, try some of the smaller local corner shops as well. One of our little shops in town was stocked up. You may not get your usual brand but you may get something.

Just to let you know I got 240 Yorkshire teabags in the co-op last night - don't get jealous ::bigsmile:

Good advice. We have a very small Spar shop across the road - it has been a lifesaver for basic grocery supplies; whereas all the big supermarket shelves have been stripped.

If you have a B&M store they normally stock Yorkshire T bags in big plastic bags-nearly a tenner for 480 bags!
Altho in present climate they’ve probably sold out!

Well I’m back,,, I have to say that at 5.45 I was 83rd in the queue outside Asda! I was embarrassed that I had to do it!!
Items limited to 3 per person, which I saw on a couple of occasions, meant nothing to a couple of families all with trolleys, getting the same stuff and going to different tills! Greedy bastards!!

I got 3 boxes of Yorkshire, 2 bags of sugar, for me,, 2 large packs of toilet roll, 3 packs of spaghetti, 2 blocks of mild cheese, and 2 jars of coffee for Stewart, I rang him and he’s well pleased,, his youngster with diabetes is living at the moment on cheese and pasta, bless her!!

I don’t know what’s going to happen next week, but as long as the builders merchants stay open and I can work, I will be fine!

there is also a shortage of cigarette papers, they told me at Asda, and I could only buy 2 packs!! Fags and tobacco next to vanish,,, I also thought, rightly or wrongly that I’d fill up with diesel as well, which I did,, cause my brain is telling me it’s going to get worse! Rediculous,,,,

anyway I hooe your ok,,, Xxxxx
