LIFE AFTER HELGA !!!!

A quick word before it gets too out of hand!!!

my love life may be on hold people,, but it’s not something I’m at all worried about,,, yet!
Admittedly it’s been a while, but I’m sure it’s just like riding a bike! Once you climb on it all comes flooding back!!

I’m in no rush,, I’m not taking a hammer or chloroform out with me ,,, every time!!

I’m in no rush,, there’s no panic,, no drama,, I’m not at the stage my mate once was, shopping three times a day and smashing his trolley into every single females he saw! Lol ( true) and picturing every woman he looked at either in his bed, or in a bridal dress coming down the aisle to be his wife!

I’m just not particularly bothered at the moment,, I have plenty of other stuff to get stuck into! And that POF is just a distraction for a few mins a week!

ps,, my mate is sorted now, met a girl when he least expected it, and he’s been living with her for a year! He no longer goes to supermarkets!! Lol.

So I looked on YouTube and I’m going to have a go at making a candle, or two!!
It's a messy business Ian. Aldi do a wonderful candle called No 1 - £3.49 and smells proper nice. Although taking into account the number of accidents you had in Helga perhaps candles are not the best option for you.

Try these first - you can get them from B & M and they really work and last ages.

You will enjoy making candles, it can get messy but it is fairly easy, was into that once upon a time!
Love how the flat is looking now and the bedroom looks very swish, don’t worry about the length of the curtains I think they look better longer like that!

Good morning,,,

I slept like a baby in my new bed,, I do like this memory foam mattress, really firm and great for my back!!

well I’m off out to pick up my new polo shirts and hoodies for work this morning, hopefully they will look ok!

also I was called by the ‘ range’ yesterday evening, and my table and chairs are ready for collection, so I will pop in and pick them up! It’s aglass table, so I’m going to have to get a runner of some sort, so as not to scratch it,, and I want a big bowl,,, now I like a big bowl,, not for fruit or anything sensible, but to drop all my crap in when I get back,, receipts, keys, the usual crap that I carry about! And it’s nice when I get home to just sit on a firmer chair to eat, have a brew and chill for ten!! i don’t know where I’m going to put it yet, but I shall have to have a look, perhaps move a few things round!!

right, now I’ve had an idea,, Lolol. I have been burning scented candles since I’ve been here, I have bought them from the range, and my favourite is coconut,, it seems to be the strongest smell,, but only when I’m lucky enough to get one that seems to smell,, most don’t have the strength of aroma that I like!! So I looked on YouTube and I’m going to have a go at making a candle, or two!!
Now these will be proper builders candles!!
Like proper builders tea, or proper builders breakfast,, strong smelling and tuff looking!! Lolol. Proper builders candles,, now there’s a name for a range of products!! Lol.

if the aroma is directly correlated to the amount of smelliest you add then I shall just add more smelly !! Any advice on product girls, cause I know there’s a few of you that do crafts etc on here,, type of wax, wick, smelliest etc would be much appreciated,,, I’m hopeing to pick all up at the range today!!

so be quick!! Lolol.

Ok, so have a good morning and a great day,, chat later, xxxxxxx
I was once asked to make some candles in a tan or light brown. The only colouring I could find was curry powder. The colour was perfect for the customers photoshoot but the silly fool lit a couple, well, you can imagine the smell. I don't think I worked for them again after that.

If I may ask a question, what happened to the new venture that you was looking for a unit for.?

hi les,,,

well she has been told to get rid of two cats,, we shall see! I’m afraid the smell is creeping back, and I did have a word with her about it, and to her credit, she went out and got some better litter, for her trays,, it is better, but thankfully that air fresher we put in the hall helps to mask it! Apart from that, I havnt and won’t go near her flat, so I don’t know how it looks,, Xx

The only thing that will get rid of the smell of cat urine is to clean the litter trays with surgical spirit. Anything else just masks the smell and when it wears off you’ve 2x, 3x etc. urine smell.

well that would be expensive chas,, so I’m putting it off for a while! If I had a house I would do it from home, but I don’t, so I can’t! Lol. X

Sorry to say this Ian but candles are a smokers thing. I cant stand them, they make me feel quite sick. They belong with all this aroma therapy nonsense and candles around the bath. Load of tosh. Fresh air is the way to go. Open the windows and take a deep breath it is fantastic. ;)

masterpieces? more like painted by a mastur something
Warning: Ladies leave the room please, this is blokes stuff.
Have they gone yet Ian?, bet they haven't, are they listenin at the door?

I was just thinkin Ian,sod that POF website.
That bird that showed you round the flat, then did the paperwork, you know who I mean, was she a looker?I hope so, if not ignore the following, just put it out your mind, read a paper or somink, paint another wall.

When is she due round your place to do her first property inspection?,was it after the 1st month of tenure?, maybe it's soon?

Well I was thinkin, as us blokes do like:whistle2:, maybe get some Fizz on ice ready for her visit, she will hopefully be so blown away with excitement & encouragement when she sees the improvements you have made to the flat, all done in your first month!

Then,Tell her how grateful you are, and that she is such a star for giving you a great base to work from back here in the UK,.....you know the drill:LOL:
That should hopefully give her that warm feeling of job satisfaction, reaffirming to her, that at last, there are still some great tenants that take pride in the place they live in, and are welcoming, thoughtful & generous.

You have now reached Base camp 1(y)

Maybe get the photo album out now, whilst she sips her Fizz, and show her some great pics of you and your travels to exotic places, get her onside with the idea of living the dream, sun, sea & adventure.
Tell her about MH Fun and all the "fans" you have, all wishing you well.

You have now reached Base Camp 2.

When I mentioned earlier that she may be Blown Away, well it was two fold really,.....should you reach base camp 2, just make sure the bung is tightly secured in that air bed well in advance.(y)
If something does explode, Tell her not to worry, as like you, its still under guarantee:giggle:

Have Fun mate, hope that raised a smile or two.

LES
Tell me Les, when was the last visit you made to a priest for confession?

It's sounding borderline whether you need to examine feelings with a psychiatrist though. These thoughts and feelings about young women are not healthy in a gentleman of your age ;)

We have American Tennant’s in our house, and the Americans love burning candles. We put a ban on the use of them cause they leave a waxy film everywhere. Can’t paint over it and it’s a b to get off.

My mum always had those bloody smelly plug in things, they used to make me ill so at least 2 days before we visited they where put out in the shed.

Scented plug ins and candles release toxins in the air - mainly formaldehyde I believe. I cant walk down the aisles in shops that sell them without retching

It amazes me how many candle shops there are now, can't imagine who buys them all.

Just make sure any visitors don't have asthma those plug ins can be very nasty, one ot the reasons I got a divorce was because my ex hid one in a socket i didn't know about under the bed, nearly choked me to death. :(

Hi Ian
When we visit friends in Swiss, they feel that during the winter months that the air inside their houses, with the heating on, gets too dry.
So they have these plug in things that not only De-Ionise the air in the room, drawing smells out, but also draw in air borne dust and they add the "Flavours" they like to freshen up the house.
Safer than candles, you could use a plug in timer, less costly to replenish once you have your essential oils and find the ones you like, and come in various shapes and sizes to match decor etc.
Here's an example on Amazon, there will loads more types & shapes if you look harder, but the concept is what its all about, thought about getting one or two in the past, but forgot all about them until now.
