Lenny's Heading South, not a Clue Where.

We once went to a random hotel in France where everyone in the town (so it seemed) was having lunch in the garden at the rear. There was no menu but it was 4 courses with wine, I can't remember the price but it was cheap. The cheese board was passed from table to table and the bread just kept coming.

We went for a Plat du Jour in Cahors one year with no menu, they brought out this massive bowl of soup with two small bowls. I continued to empty and refill mine until she came back for it and said something in French before taking it to next table 😂 We were meant to take one bowl and the large one was passed around the restaurant, It was so nice I had 4 bowls 😂😂

How did you manage the rest of the meal 🤣🤣 4 bowls of soup 😱😱 I couldn't even manage that

How many nights have you booked for?
I'm sure you can change sites tomorrow.

Left it open just wanted to go into Cádiz so can't be bothered to move tomorrow, must be getting old. Normally can't stand sites. Don't mind Cap Blanch at Altea as its good for paddleboarding that was one of the reasons for coming here but no chance with the weather.

All the reviews sounded bad & it was peeing with rain so couldn't be bothered.
Last year we overnighted in Cadiz in the big car park at the end of the harbour which allows overnighting in motorhomes. There's a nightclub that backs onto the car park, and certainly the night we were there, it was pretty deafening through to the early hours of the next morning. 🎧

We stayed in the beach car park the next night just outside Cadiz centre (36.4668114, -6.2551642), and there were several other motorhomes there, it was a really lovely beach and no hassle.

Met someone a couple of days ago who stayed in the one by the nightclub, they were kept awake all night then the builders started at 7:30.

Done a lot of traveling on this trip so wanted to relax without hassle, not our normal style.

That's happening a lot nowadays I found. Folk leave bad reviews hoping it's then quieter. I prefer to just go see for myself.

I really liked that beach there. Admittedly it's a few years since I've been . I didn't do round cadiz etc last trip as I had all the vet stuff going on with the dogs before morroco but I'll be back round all that area this year as andalusia is my favourite area of spain.
Are people really that cynical? I am so naive.

It’s a great little town though.
Stayed at phi phi a few times . Walk into marina and nice cafe which does breakfast and lunch . You can also park for free closer to town , and ferry , at main beach (virtually opposite campsite) .
Go further out past phi phi and you can park in the dunes . Though bars and restaurants there charge like billy-o

Well today started out OK sun has reappeared wind dropped hardly any.
Start walk to the ferry, go past the wild spot now kicking myself looks perfect, with the weather & traffic jam yesterday couldn't be arsed to look for it.

Then things went downhill, a ⅓ of the way to the port road & footpaths closed, so we had to double back then after practically running get to the port a few minutes before the ferry is due to leave.
No ferries running due to weather, next bus full, have to wait 1½ hours for next one.
So now having a café con leche in the town square, it can only get better.

Flexibility is the name of the game.
Hopefully the ferries will be running tomorrow.
In the meantime enjoy the sunshine and your Caffè con leche.(y)

We had similar near Limoges an aire called Saint-priest-taurion , the reviews said not to miss the Plat du Jour in a local cafe , the woman may have been called something like chez , anyway I got the cheese plate rather than a dessert , I thought huge portion , as I was munching my way through it she swiped it and gave it to the next table , was a bit embarrassed so left her a great tip 😊

I'm not sure that correcting spelling is within forum etiquette...
It wasn't a question of correcting spelling rather clearing the name of the Spanish national currency for many years as others may not have understood what the poster was talking about. Sorry if I hurt anyone's feelings.

Well I'm a bit OCD when it comes to spelling. Difficult not to point it out

I'm the same and have to resist it, especially when foreign places are misspelled as I visualise their TomTom taking them miles from the intended place or others trying to find them with a search when planning a trip.

Mr. Wallet has disowned me now on a very expensive Auto caravan stop at Rhonda. Tried the free parking that comes up on all the apps it was rubbish you would have struggled to get a T4 in.

Flipping freezing up here put our fleeces on when it dropped to 25° not used to cold evenings & it's now dropped to 21°.

Even worse EHU included, at the last minute I put a mains lead in before we left home but some idiot forgot an adaptor. Chinese Bazaar to the rescue got a 2 pin & earth socket and an extention lead and made an adaptor.

Gave the Multiplus a good test 6amp EHU had the Multiplus making up the other 10 amps I was using.

Sorry, I’m just catching up! We liked that camperstop as charged by the hour so could stay for say 30 hours and not pay 2 days. Decent toilets, showers and washing machines with EHU included as you say.

Your photos today have made my day, I was working backwards and thought I recognised Cadiz in the photo from my one and only visit 16 years ago. I read the inscription on the building to see I was right Lenny HB. My memory has not completely gone, I’m going to tell my wife now, it was a special holiday for her 50th birthday & it was Santa Semana! 😜
