Morning view lovely, on the photo due to the haze in the distance you can't see the mountains.

In case you haven't seen the weather you are getting heavy rain all around the north ,middle, west & east tomorrow +Portugal .Effects from 'Leslie' I think it is . Only places without any were here & inland , Almeria up into Alicante province & possibly up to Valencia.
The rest showed as inundated . Along the Algarve & into spain up to Almeria also winds around 100kph + 80-100mm rain.
Gee wizz thanks:cry:
Not seen any news or weather forecasts since we have been away.

Still in the Roses area weather has been iffy/crap all this week but it’s warm.

Damaged me waste tank enclousre yesterday when reversing over a kerb at a service point, only a standard height one, caught the back of the tank straps and pushed the tank housing forward bending the straps at the front and cutting into the enclouser, good job Hymer fit a nice foam filled box around the tank. Nothing that a hammer and a bit of GRP work won't sort.
The reason is, just before we left we had full air suspenion fitted at SAP. Mick noticed the rear was a bit low so he got a spacer kit expressed from Holland and fitted that raising it 15mm but still looked low. I checked with two other funsters with the same van one with & one without air both sit 50mm higher than my van at the rear, that extra two inches it would have been fine. Mick is in contact with VB trying to sort it.

External tank ,shocking, should have bought a quality German van.

Today first stop Carmona pretty little village in a valley in the mountains famous for it's stone buildings and wood carvers sitting outside working. Of course being public holiday weekend it was heaving with tourists all two of us. Had brilliant time wandering around, even bought a hand carved wooden spoon, not sure who is going to do the stirring.

Oy watch it you. It's the way they do it now goes down through the double floor too bloody low for my liking. It is in a GRP box insulated with PU foam and heated by the vans heating g system.:)
A Brit van the tank would have been ripped off.

Were going to eat out but it's Spain, after the girls setting the tables had stopped laughing ( true the really were) when we asked if they were serving food, they said they didn't open until 9:30pm.

Running out of supplies not seen a food shop for 4 days these little tourist towns only have restaurants and gift shops.
So chicken salad (inc. black tomatoes) with Spanish omlet with local scrumpy cider.

After 31.5° and wall to wall sunshine yesterday today was a bit of a dampener. The horrendous weather forecast didn't materialise, just gentel rain most of the day cleared up around 4 pm, then a couple of showers after we set up for the night.

Started of with a visit to Cuevas dear Altamira, bad move public holiday, sold out.
So went along the coast a bit to Comillas to have a look at Capricho De Gaudi.

Could have had a free night at Comillas but decided to go along the coast a bit. @DBK just west of Comillas drove though some interesting wetlands looks like used to be a forest, remains if tree stumps sticking up through the mud and vegitation and lots of wadeing birds about, if the weather had been better would have stopped for a gander.

Arrived at Llanes for the night, signs when entering the village no parking for Autocaravans except in designated parking area, so being a good boy went to the Camper stop, a couple of free loaders in the car park outside would have probably been ok as out of season.

What a palarva, park within yellow marking so ARNP camera can read your plate then go to machine when I finally found it on the opposite side of Camper stop, now it's already got your reg number now it wants passport number, troll bad to the van to get passport, then it wants name, country, postcode & email then I had to pay a fortune to get in.
HOW MUCH!

€3, yes that's right three whole Euro.
Crikey that is the most expensive night we have had in Spain on this trip, they should been paying me for my time for keeping their machine happy.

Just found this thread. Well I'd seen it before but expected it to be the zip from A to B type of thread quite often seen on here so didn't read it .

Love it and will continue to read it.

Thanks for taking the time to do it.

Aire is fine, not really a problem getting in just seem unnecessary. Not set a foot outside the van yet. Cliff top footpaths a couple of hundred yards from Aire.
It is just a stopover for us, will have a wander before leaving.

We drove through Llanes a couple of weeks ago, our last visit was more than 15 years ago and the town has changed immensely in that time, more development and more of a holiday destination than I remember but only to be expected.

Previously the town was fairly quiet and had it's own campsite just outside the centre which closed many years ago, this last visit was on a Saturday in beautiful weather and the town was packed, we didn't stop but I would say it is worth a look.

Had a walk along the cliff to the town lovely town will post some photos later.
Just met Oscar and his wife and true to form embarrassingly I forgotten their names already and it was only 10 minutes ago.
