Anyone spot the odd van to the right of ours. It's a Ford looks a bit like a Landover and has what looks like a DIY conversion on it. Nice elderly couple in it but can't get any info as their English is as good as my Portuguese.

At first glance I thought it was a Hummer:)
Glad you listened to the missus regarding the curry shop in portugal, we went to Goa a few years back and on arrival we thought people were joking when they said "be great to get home and have a proper Curry", mind you Lenny they were Northerners, so probably were qualified to make that comment:D
As usual the home cooked dinner looks nice & very safe, no runs in the morning, unless the wine is dodgy that is:eek:
Enjoying your pictures, cold day down here in Surrey, frost on the van first thing, only 9 degrees as a high, but we are softies down here:LOL:

Love the Curry's in India providing you eat where the locals eat only had one poor one in 4 weeks when we let our driver take us to a tourist restaurant. Never had an upset tum, suprising how you get used to curry for breakfast, lunch & dinner.:)

Temperature dropped here yesterday afternoon to 12° but warm in the sun evening dropped to 7° had to put the heating on.
Bright & sunny but only 3° outside 8am, 8° inside the van.

Pork chops tonight, I was going to make a provincial sauce but forgot the herbs and added chilled flakes and hot paprika.
Bought the chops a few days ago at the meat counter in a Supermecido I think, not one I heard of before anyway two large pork chops were €1.10.

PS: another nice home made dinner, still waiting to see a bought one that impresses me:)
I always imagined Portugal was the place to get some of the best seafood meals at least thats what Rick Stein portrayed on his long weekend city breaks. He went to Lisbon, then onto a small family run beach front restaurant "to get fresh fish straight from the sea" which made me smile as its Portugal that buys up most of the Scottish Langoustine ,Prawns, and other fish from Peterhead:)
Still I will be very envious of you next year, with your 3 month trip to Thailand, best food I have ever had was on my trips there, straight off the street, also Malaysia, Singapore Hawkers Market Square at night.(y)
Les again.

I'm not going just the boss she will probably only go for a month now that she has thought about it, maybe two. I prefer Europe.

Yea but Lenny, think about all those fake Rolexes, Gucci hand bags, leather belts and tee shirts, let alone the fake Viagra.
My Divorced brother with his free BA flights goes 3 times a year, has his massages;) gets his teeth done and whitened, and makes a packet on his return with loyal customers queuing up:D

Subject to the weather and your route back visit Castle of Lindoso in the mountains, within the Park National da Peneda-Geres. Quite stunning. Getting there it not quite as exciting as Soto de Sajambre which we must do! Looks a really good trip Lenny thank you for sharing

Here is the dashcam video I promised of the road to Soto de Sajambre in Spain.

Bloody Nora!!!!!
Wouldn't be too keen to drive the car through there, let alone the van.
Turned the volume right up but still couldn't hear the sound of bodywork scraping on rocks.
Well done sir. You're a braver man than me. (y):D

Richard.

Hi Lenny loving your trip, is that road one way or two cos if it’s two that would be bum squeeze time
Two way of course I don't do things by half. It was at least 2 foot wider than the van.:)
You wouldn't want to do it without your brown trousers.:ROFLMAO:

Thanks, funny thing we’re currently doing what you don’t fancy doing and that is spending 6wks in Thailand but really missing the van

I'm not that keen on it but get dragged out there as youngest daughter lives in Bangkok.
