I have used it Joy and have bought some recently....What do you want to know?
Personally, I prefer Paintbox Aran. It feels more cosy, softer and fuller. Stylecraft is ok though.

Hi Lisa

I'm still trying to trace my lovely mystery gift person. This was around the wool.

You wern't in Glastonbury a few days ago were you? Xx

i quite like it - however, I also use Paintbox Aran or DK - but sometimes when ordering online I am slightly disappointed when the colours in real life are slightly different from the screen view and turn out to be “almost what I wanted“. And then I carry on with the thing I chose the colours for (because I’ve paid so I will use it - and it’s “almost what I had in mind”) then I get irritable but plough on regardless. My current big project is a crochet along thing which fits the above grump - lol. But its not too bad - not quite the green and not quite the salmon pink I was expecting…. But my random stash is now about five feet high and I must must must get on with using it. with this in mind, I have banned myself from purchasing anything from the Lovecraft website for a while - no, really - 🙄 - I have even avoided wandering into my local wool shop 😄

I might go off piste with the Under the Sea joining and (perhaps) make it easier for myself. I'll have to use safety pins to fasten it all together.
lol - sounds desperate 😬
It’s all personal preference in the end - after years of hooking, I’ve taken to sewing motifs together rather than using a hook… while the joining style has to ‘match/fit’ the item, I’m not keen on the raised chain thing. What I dislike most, is finding I have attached one back to front. Luckily I don’t do it often 😄. I keep meaning to try those fancy crochet joins, but not sure I have the stamina to maintain the effort across a big project 🤔

I am still doing tiny embroidery while we are away.

Having a go at mini swimmers as I have a bunch of swim friends. I might ( if they come out good enough) make a tiny hanging embroidery hoop of a swimmer for each of them as a Christmas present.

I've decided that one can't have enough blankets :X3:, so I have started another one.... I really should finish some other projects but I got carried away with the excitement of a new pattern from Bella Coco = the patchwork blanket. https://bellacococrochet.com/patchwork-blanket/
I always get drawn to her pastel colours. Luckily, I had some of them in my stash and decided to start.

Funny you should mention blankets - I am about to start on the latest Attic24 pattern.

I like Lucy's patterns too, I did the yuletide. I managed to resist the Fireside but it may appear one day ;)

I gave up. I really should not persevere when perseverance is unwarranted 🤷🏻‍♀️The light green looked wrong, and next time I will do the colour choosing thing more carefully. I could say balls! But no, that would be rude - just balls in waiting … around 31 in the photo - lol

Thread has been a bit quiet recently,
Wondering if any of the knitters have a pattern for a chunky knit coat, easy, for friend who is not a confident Knitter although she can do a cable so long as it is single and not all over. she has a nice coat she knitted during covid and wanted to do another, but she no longer speaks to the person who lent her the pattern.
I could, at a push, work out the pattern for her and write it down, but would worry i don't quite get it right.
off for another internet hunt.
Carry on crafting.

Have you looked on Ravelry?

I am currently knitting a bedjacket using all my ends of balls of Aran yarn. It’s amazing how many shades of cream there are but no-one’s going to see it besides me and the dog 🤭

Thanks denisejoe and Janine have spent more of today than I should looking. she isn't able to adapt a pattern, not even happy to use the stitches from a pattern and do it in ss. Not nearly as bad as my MIL who had to buy a pattern that was the colour she wanted to knit, always remember her telling me I couldn't do a jumper patter as it was for the boys and the pattern was pink, she couldn't get her head round just getting one you liked and knitting it in the colour you wanted.
That aran, which is lovely reminds me of the time I was sewing up a jumper i had done for John when i realised it was done in 2 different wools, oops, I took it out and redid it all the same. Got a cardigan and a hat for me pout the other stuff, but like you i have loads of cream wool, might start something, doing back and fronts together until I run out then I will have grey, navy and red to go on with 😂
