I think you need some counseling Charlie, I just hope I don't catch it.We are now on this one, allegedly a swimming beach 6 mins walk away, but have you noticed, every one we go on is dearer than the last one, do you think we have been suckered in?

Well ,this is the dearest and I would say the worst one we have been on, it's ok and if you are into swimming or beach stuff it is close to the sea, but there are a couple of campsites here ,one is an acsi, and yesterday the beach was absolutely rammed, we had a look and came back.We are now on this one, allegedly a swimming beach 6 mins walk away, but have you noticed, every one we go on is dearer than the last one, do you think we have been suckered in?

We came off the motorway on Saturday and 2 fuel station (easygas) were both selling diesel for €1.739, thought maybe they had already knocked the 20 cents off but no got that off so down to €1.539, only needed half a tank but happy with that.Prices are dropping here, paid €1.56 today. Total appear to be the cheapest.
Were you “on the pull” Chas? Was talking to a very nice french girl in the restaurant last night who spoke near enough perfect English so I asked her if she had lived in England, she said no I went to London once but it was no use because no one speaks English there
That’s a great result, l paid €1.65 nett in Boltana near Ainsa so the price is cheaper in France so far.We came off the motorway on Saturday and 2 fuel station (easygas) were both selling diesel for €1.739, thought maybe they had already knocked the 20 cents off but no got that off so down to €1.539, only needed half a tank but happy with that.
You can find the odd one a bit run down as it’s often one that CCP has taken over relatively recently and they have not put their mark on it, when you visit again often improvements have been made, however, the functionality is always available, water, electric, booking, and being able to see they have space whilst transiting.I was on a roll with these things but the shine has just gone a bit dull, there is one where we are headed so might still try another.
Don’t buy it, you’ve got enough! What do you think we found there?

If you think that one is bad don't go to the one at Argelès-sur-Mer, the services are OK but that's about it. CCP's are not all smelling of roses like some would have you believe.Well ,this is the dearest and I would say the worst one we have been on, it's ok and if you are into swimming or beach stuff it is close to the sea, but there are a couple of campsites here ,one is an acsi, and yesterday the beach was absolutely rammed, we had a look and came back.
The aire itself is small with no shade whatsoever, the tap and emptying, is a bit old and confusing as it's not like the others we have been on, the black seems to be a manhole that has to be lifted, havnt tried it yet, and the water is similar to the others but no way of knowing which is which.
I think apart from the beach this is way over priced and I will have to think again about these places.
One good point of the day although not to do with the site, we were sitting outside the van and suddenly heard someone shout it's chaser off motorhome fun, and a couple came across and we had a good old chat with them, if ianthebuilder is reading this it was Anthony from Huddersfield who you did some building for .
Anyway he was a paid up member on here but has let it lapse as his motorhme is broken and they are staying at one of the campsites in a static.
Anyway going to look for something different today I think.

I'll have to contact you if we are down that way, last October we had real grief finding somewhere to stop, all the usual places had height barriers still in place that's how we ended up at Argelès-sur-Mer.Ok going to get the average down a bit now we are now parked up in one of our favourites, right on the beach at canet plage, no service but no charge either, a bloke here says you can park in the road or at the port if you want it this will do is for a couple of days, right close to the town and bars, we are in one now, havnt taken any photos yet but we are here where we were a couple of years ago.
Strange thing is it isn't in any app but this is ourthird time.
Lenny HB , no kidding this is just a fantastic place, we have been 3 times now with two years in between these last two and it's still the same, a lot miss it by going to canet rossilin then go out again but you have to follow the signs to canet plage, and stay by the sea, there is barriers but we have never seen them closed.I'll have to contact you if we are down that way, last October we had real grief finding somewhere to stop, all the usual places had height barriers still in place that's how we ended up at Argelès-sur-Mer.
We are under the blue dot.View attachment 666462

Is there spaces for larger motorhome there Charley?
You are showing Charlie up.Still finding plenty of free Aires on our trip. Day 16 now and we've only been on a paid Aire for two nights (8.50 per night at Sainte-Croix-du-Verdon). The remainder have been in some beautiful locations, some with facilities and some without. Take tonight's stop at Broquiès overlooking the Tarn. Wonderful location and view, nice village, EHU, water, waste disposal, toilets, up to 7 nights free and then apparently you pay 5 euros a night at the Mairie. Still not convinced by CCP as all the ones we've looked at for the past fortnight look just a step removed from a campsite to me.View attachment 666485View attachment 666486
It's not in Campercontact either but CC does show a parking place a little bit further south. This really is unbelievable, this is a park4night screenshot of where we are, we and other vans have been parking here for at least four years, and now there are four vans here for the night and as you will see not a mention on park4night.

The one further south is a small car park by a nature reserve & infomation center OK for panel vans anything bigger not much chance and it's always rammed with cars. It's not in Campercontact either but CC does show a parking place a little bit further south.

No I have put quite a few on p4n butpurposely never put this one on, because it could soon get rammed, just been talking to a french bloke in one of the other vans, he says he lives here off and on for a couple of months at a time he has a motorcycle in a trailer and just gets about on that. Not on Camper Contact or SFS either, best left that way.
A few years ago we discover the new Aire in Evora Portugal, we were the only ones there, the following year it was in Camper Contact and it was rammed.
It's just amazing it's never been put on something because everytime we have been there has been at least another one on so over the year it must be quite a few on.The one further south is a small car park by a nature reserve & infomation center OK for panel vans anything bigger not much chance and it's always rammed with cars.
