As the title says it going to be a bit of a challenge getting the old van back on the road.
She’s been laying resting up for over a wear now
A do like a challenge.
Things I will have to do
1 complete brake up grade service
New shoes and slave piping as required
2 change front shocks springs
3 New wheel bearings all round
4 cv joint replacement both sides
5 change tires all fore corners
6 a fare bit of welding
7 tidy up all round
8 pop engine and gear box out
9 replace timing belt
10 have gearbox over haled
11 air assist suspension dependant on availability for the alco system torchion bar
As it challenges.
I am expecting a fare few other things to crop up it is a 1990 after all
Looking at a timeframe of beginning of September
Working on it two to three days a week
On the mechanical and engineering aspects
With some farly involved habitation work to be don
This forum is the best thing I have found for keeping a living record and track of my projects
Haven’t started it in over three months since we bough it from our old house

Although I could do it,I certainly could not find the get up and go ( it got up and gone a few years ago), I've got a cambelt kit to fit sometime later in the year already trying to get head round that.
Good on you hope all goes well and the weather is kind

Is that your list of defects or what has been thrown up on an MOT?

Before starting that kind of work I like to pay for a good inspection to MOT standard to get an idea if what it may fail on that I may have missed. The MOT inspection criteria often change.

Get the welding done first in case it turns out to be too much work or , heaven forbid, it catches fire during the process. Be very aware how difficult it is to weld if lanolin or similar inflamable anti-rust treatment has been applied in the past as almost impossible to remove from the nooks and crannies of the structure.

Been putting cars van trucks through mot for as long as I can remember put this van in for many a mot over the years
Have been welding for as long as I can remember.
When I have finished the the van will fly through
I have been living with a spanner in my hand since probably the age of five.
Charged hose fire extinguisher and fire watcher haven t burnt Down anything in all my time welding.
Very confident that I can meet MOT standards

Been working on my car the last few days sorting it for the mot
At the mot station now in waiting area as the mot inspector goes over it
Had new disks pads drop-links cv joints track road ends and front wheel bearings as on was a tiny bit suspected

Wildbill might be better to wait till your van is back on the road so we can have a few beers and save the cost of a hotel :)
