Inconsiderate motorhome driver

I only worry about cars in front of me .those behind are of no concern , i drive at a speed im comfortable with and one that doesn't have things falling out of cupboards etc . I did the same when i worked as a courier in big vans . Speed limits are a maximum not a target.

Only kidding. The motorhome Sorry the money pit is stuck on the drive as there is still tons I want to sort out.

Buy the way I don’t have any stickers just messing with everybody .

But I do have some nice reflectors covering some holes.
At least yours are to cover intentional holes. I've long used reflectors to cover unintenional holes.

It could be the first time the driver has gone slow, could have been driving to Scarborough hospital having been informed her mother just been admitted after heart attack and not thinking straight etc, there are loads of scenarios possible.

We were once driving home and I took a call from neighbour to say that all our washing had blown off the line, we panicked and got home to find her knickers strewn around the moor.

Such panic, I still can’t remember that journey home, we could have been driving erratically, fast, slow and oblivious to other road users.

I think you’re missing the point somewhat.

Do you also have a justification for the actions of middle lane hoggers (rhetorical question)?

Yes see post #23

Not sure you tell me I was travelling to fast to see

Are you sure, you seem to be seeing double! 🤣🤣🤣🤣

What will happen?
Asking as I looked a few minutes ago for a minimum speed limit and on motorways there isn’t a minimum but, driving at 30mph would attract other infringements - like driving with a lack of due care and attention. 🤔
You could name check the Mersey Tunnel as a place where you’d struggle with disregarding a minimum speed.
Youll more than likely end up in an HGV sandwich and be very very squashed.
Try it and see.

Just love it on here , watching things go from one thing to another. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 proper funny

Me too…… and if I am annoying an impatient grumpy old man who calls me a twxx and preferably a sales rep and a boy racer, then even more pleasurable.

Drove around York northern bypass the other day in the van on the way here. A white fiesta aggressively tailgated me the whole way as I only did 40mph and eased up to the roundabouts as there was always traffic in front and driving any faster was pointless as I always ended up behind the same car at the junctions. The fiesta drivers open clenched fist and massive arm up and down movement (I think it was a hand signal for him slowing down) when cutting inside me to turn was impressive, even more so as he nearly hit the car in front. The question is? Who was the twxx? Him or me?

I thought a twixx was a biscuit covered in chocolate and came in pairs but I have been known to be wrong nearly all the time so eeeeerrrrrr. indoors tells me

Slow drivers are more likely to cause accidents than speeding drivers because they disrupt the flow of traffic. ... Most accidents involve people who are driving 10 mph or slower than the speed limit rather than people who are speeding.
Perhaps you should pass on that piece of fact to the authorities that make the law, then they could put a minimum speed limit instead of a maximum??? xroll:

going by what I have read in this
thread so far. if my motorhome for some reason went into limp mode I would have two options
one put up with all the passing hand signal that’s if they can get by.

or write a big sign on the back saying. What ?

sorry I have just gone limp please pass.

I would imagine that would do away with at least one of the hand signals.

Plaintive call from the rear.......... "are we nearly there yet?". " Nope, I think this thread has miles in it yet, especially if Tigger doesn't pull over soon".

Many years ago I got stuck behind a tractor and trailer loaded with straw bales on the Whitby road north the flask Inn.
It wasn't an old chugger, it was a massive 4 wheel drive jobbie easily capable of 45mph.
Farmer Giles decided 10 to 15 mph was fast enough.
After a couple of miles I got past on a steep hill just south of the flask.....and pulled Infront of him then stopped.
If looks could kill I'd be buried at the roadside.
It gave me untold pleasure watching him trying to set off uphill pulling maybe 15 tons of straw and trailer.

The Slow Driver
Slow drivers are more likely to cause accidents than speeding drivers because they disrupt the flow of traffic. ... Most accidents involve people who are driving 10 mph or slower than the speed limit rather than people who are speeding. So, slow drivers are not only annoying, they are also dangerous. Although it's far more common to be ticketed for speeding, it's also possible to get a citation for driving too slowly. Generally, it's illegal to drive so slowly that you block or impede the normal flow of traffic.
You might have something there, I mean when did anyone ever run into the back of someone going quicker than them in thick fog??:xThumb::xrofl::xrofl::xrofl:

Some inconsiderate tw@t in a motorhome on the Guisboro to Whitby road (24 miles) doing between 30mph and 40mph with a foot constantly on the brake pedal.
The van had a large decal on the back of a Tiger ....unmissible.
I was 12 to 15 cars behind and a further 30 or so behind me.
Made no attempt to pull over to let traffic pass
I do hope the inconsiderate b@stards are on here and read this then they may realise the inconvenience caused .
Caw canny young man, what is all the rush about. :xdoh:

Don't try that around here or you'll probably get a 4wheel drive extension to your motorhome and pursuing a claim from a man from Poland is very hard to do!

Lost count of the times we pulled in to let others pass on out two week trip top Scotland in September. Not that we were slow but there is always a build up behind anything bigger than a car, its not difficult to spot a safe place to pull in even in a town or village before the road opens to the next few miles of bendy bits.

Remember if you're over 3.05T the limits are 50 on a single, 60 on dual and 70 on motorway.
That figure is very hard to determine. It can only be stated with any accuracy by the base vehicle manufacturer.

Had that on the M6 A14 junction - multiple ABS ESP failure and defaulted to first gear only. Even with hazards on and max revs doing less than 30 and being hooted at by all and sundry (not the HGV’s - one of which slowed down behind me and put his own hazards on) until I made the first lay-by on A14. Scary experience. Glad that PJ wasn’t following

You would fail an advanced test if you travel much below the limits for no good reason.
you'd fail a normal test.

You put the hazards on then everyone knows you have problem & find the first available place to stop.

Problem is though that the regulations do not distinguish between a 'normal' tractor & what is deemed a 'high speed 'tractor which is required to have hgv spec brakes ,abs ,etc: As soon as you hitch a trailer to either the maximum legal speed is 25mph.(40km/hr) & that is why the trailers have ,or should have, the 40km/h sign attached to the rear.
