I'm in Düsseldorf. What van would you like me to look at?

Looking forward to hear about your new Morelo purchase, make lots of pics please👍😎
Decided to go small, 'er indoors won't let me sell the house. Looks like it will be a Carthago CompactLine, even though they went up £10K last week

Not for this year, but if anybody notices, I'd be interested in the biggest payload in a 3.5t van

Your far too young to go small lenny, think big lol, get your C license and go for it, where else are you going to put 2000 watt of solar, sell a plus 12 metre van to the wife and then compromise on 10 😇😎

Love or loathe the IVECO daily it is now the "go to" chassis for up to 7500kg liner class as Mercedes just don't do anything heavy enough.
I would personally prefer an Iveco over a Merc anyway.

Surprising how much room there is on the roof, it will be on the 4250kg Maxi chassis, a van with less than 1200kg of payload is not worth having.

Nice one, have you made a spec yet? I take it you will be having the new 9 speed ZF box ? 180 BHP, how is the garage in a compact line , big enough for electric bikes? Insulation on par with bigger vans?

thats my point Martin, you cant satisfy all the requirements of the liner class customers and stay under 7500kgs. as soon as you exceed 9m or put a car in the back you're over weight, you even cant put jacks on some. and if you're a 40 something why would you take a C1 and not a C? N+B are missing the point.
But by the time folk can afford these things they are well over 40 something though, end of the day it’s a Motorhome so there will be a compromise somewhere.

I want German spec, i.e. LHD, no oven (can't have a TecTower on this model) no electric on the Truma & German mains sockets, was going to have full leather but with the big price increase won't bother. Auto box of course will have to be the 180 as 160 discontinued. With the Auto box it comes on the maxi chassis so if you order at 3.5t only a couple of hundred to upgrade instead of paying £2k for it. All come with 16" wheels but they charge you £350 for them now, even though they are standard on the maxi, don't want Alloys.
Garage is not quite as big as the Hymer garage but big enough & far more underfloor storage.
Build & insulation is the same as the liners better quality insulation foam than Hymer use.

Try 'Balsa wood converters'

I believe they do a model with 40lts diesel and 20 lts water.

Concorde are doing a 7.5 metre. Looks very nice. Trouble is they don't have a British dealer anymore.

I’m never going to be allowed my C1 back, so if I want to continue with a MH I’ve no choice but to stay under 3.5t. A caravan has crossed my mind

We came with the plan to go under 6.5 m but we just can't do it. Even looked at some rusty tufty desert types.

Lenny, We were last here in 2019 and it seems similar in size to then .
That's good, it was 2019 we last went. Talking to a dealer on the phone this morning I got the impression nowhere near as many vans on display which I would expect as most manufacturers have reduced there ranges.

I took a video of the i smove 7 metres a class but it's too large to upload. Sorry.

That’s French Jon, 79F is a nice van but the garage is compromised with the walk around the end of the bed, check that the front seats turn OK Mr porky Right one was really tight when we looked but it was a few years ago.

Not sure. Is that one of those brands which are super super expensive and make morelo look like a Bailey.
