IAN and HELGA,,ONWARDS and UPWARDS!!

Good evening family,,,

I hope you had a good day,, today I had a go at something I’ve never done before, and learnt a lot!! I stripped and re boarded a flat roof, then we put a rubber membrane onto it, glued, then trim! How easy is that for a flat roof system,, clean, neat, and looks really good,, I think someone said that it would be good for 50 yrs,, the rubber and trim costs A fair bit, but easy to lay, and looks tidy,,

the roof in question is approx 7x4. 28 sq mts,, I was told the rubber trim and glue was around £600. But easier, cleaner and quicker than felt or fibreglass,, I would def recommend it !!!

so I had a good day,,,, laying a few slabs tomorrow, and building and hanging a garden gate, then off till Monday,, lovely!!
but they do give rain for here the weekend, I think! Getting a bit chilly about 5 am in the morning too!! Soon be Xmas!! Lol

chat later,, xxxxxx

Given my experience of your roofing knowledge and expertise I would defo say get some buckets underneath just in case next time it rains ... Couple of brolly's might be handy n'all x

Sign of the time, no big gas bottles heating up pitch or humping up bags of stones to spread on the roof.

A profile picture like that would frighten me away I'd be scared of being charged with kidnapping and child molestation!
Give me someone with a few laughter lines and a bit of wear and tear beginning to show lol
Sounds just like me, old and a bit decrepid??BUSBY.

you need to hydrate more to avoid cramp and if it persists eat a banana for the potassium

Evening,,,,

not much of a day,, after England’s loss this morning, I went to Tesco in Aylsham and it was heaving! Nightmare, they should make these people get insurance on their trollies!! My ankles are bruised!!

I was very disappointed after that though,, I was looking for the individual xmas puddings that they have for £1.00. Can’t beat them with a good dollop of Cornish clotted cream, or a large pouring of Elmlea!! Lovely! They didn’t have any,, gutted!! But onwards and upwards, I bought a trifle and 3 tins of carnation!

just had a huge spag boll,,, now I’m full,, tv and a bit of Youtube now,,,, chat soon, xxx

Thought you had a date tonight

Ian good to have you back posting, I'll have to keep my eye open for those puds. How come you guessed she was using old photos. Have to get the fishing rod out again.

Pity about the date Ian, keep trying.
What a welcome change this thread is after the high octane over hyped, self promoting bragging bo££ocks on some of the other threads recently.
I think I'm going to look what other forums there are, is Facts still going ?
Might be ok compared to the relentless BS here ???

Figaro don't do that, it's really only one that's stiring it

ianthebuilder keep trying, not on fishing the site I used no longer exists. out of 70+ responses only about 6 were genuine. Perhaps I shouldn't have used 'I've got the leathers if you've got the bike' as an opener :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:
Been with John for 20 years, so was worth the hassle.

Ian, I have quite a few lovely looking, economically independent, nice friends using dating sites to meet the right chap. Keep going & regard all the encounters that do not work as a baseline to build up a true picture of the person you really want to meet. You sound a really nice person to me, Most of my friends are looking for a man who is kind, clean & likes being in their company.

Oh , I must add I have had a rubber roof since 2012, it has never leaked.

ALDI also do them near Christmas time Ian, and very nice they are too. (y)

is Facts still going ?
Yep, but not as we once knew it.

It`s just unrelenting though, is there no end to it ?
I`m getting really tired of it all
I put it down to cabin fever, ie, it's winter, the MH is in storage, and they've got nowt better to do with their time on a dark winter's night. :(
I try to steer clear, especially from that Belly Locker. ;)

Cheers,

Jock. :)

Lidl have them in now and lovely marzipan stolen too

Good afternoon,,,

well I did some work today,, finished a bit early but did all I was asked for the days money,, and the bonus is, I have tomorrow and Thursday at work too! Bonus!! Now the good thing about that is,, if I decide to see the woman this weekend from POF, I can afford to buy her a coffee and a slice of cake! Lolol.

stripped half a roof today, then felt, battened and tiled up to hips,, other half tomorrow, and on Thursday, lay a few slabs and replace a few for one of his customers!! Lovely,, if I could get just 3 days a week,I will be fine,, I won’t have to touch the loan, overdraft or credit card! That would be handy!!

I’m hoping you all had a great day ( so far) and thanks for all the comments, they make me realise how much I missed you all, and being on here,,, I shall never let my brain work overtime on anything negative again!!
Onwards and upwards!! Chat later,, xxxx

Ps, don’t forget, if anyone has any experience with advertising, please let me know! Xxx.

10 years for Brian and me also, just had 7th wedding anniversary. Used the fishy site, never paid for matches, but a very long and seemingly hopeless search until the right one came along.

Keep at it Ian, you know you're worth it (y)

Karen xx
