HAHA!!! Good evening all ,,,, you thought you’d got rid of me,,, but like a good dose of the trots ,,, I’m back!! Haha!!!!

well, let’s see,,,,, life is ok,, I would like more work, but if I can survive till Xmas I will be happy!!

I did get a bit of work from an advert I put in the paper, a while ago, but when that ad finished, the builder I did a couple of days for said, don’t bother putting another in, I will keep you going!! But that has not been very true, maybe a day a week at most, and now it’s getting closer to Xmas I don’t think it’s worth paying for another run!

ok, so I have cleansed my mind of all things poisonous,, and it’s with with renewed vigour and enthusiasm that I’m back!! I missed you!!

I recieved a few calls, messages from they know who, and for that I will always be grateful,, and Jim has surpassed all expectations, again! Cheers Jim!!

well Helga passed her mot, on the second time of asking, brake pipe piece renewal, sticky calliper, but that was it,, but still cost £480. But I did have both callipers done at the same time! I think it was a bit expensive, but it’s done now and alls good!!
I’m still on the cl outside Norwich, on the Cromer road, and it’s ok, nice people here and the owner is smashing!

I have tickled a little fish in for a date at the end of the week, from that well known dating site plenty of fish,,but I’m not too sure about it all yet, I will let you know if I go, I’m not sure I will yet!!!

I have however had a good idea ( I think ) about work in the new year, it is building, but marketing myself slightly differently,, now I’m not going to say much yet, but it will require a website and a good advert,, so with that in mind I am asking if there’s anyone on here who has marketing experience that might be able to help guide me??? Tell me how to advertise my new idea etc! I don’t expect something for nothing, so get in touch if you feel you can help!! Thanks!!!

ok, let’s see,, The old van is running ok, but it’s not very nice so I’m looking to get rid of it as soon as I can afford a replacement, which will prob be next year, but the sooner the better,, for me!!

I had a wild notion that I might have had to sell Helga, but I’m not going to do that now, you see I weakened,, I don’t like finance really and never have, I don’t understand the whys and wherefores of money, but I have just got a small personal loan, from the bank, so I can get through Xmas, start a new ad campaign, and hopefully get a tidier van!
Please don’t lecture me on borrowing money, you see I thought long and hard about it, and realised I have no other choice! That along with the credit card and overdraft facility I have got, that is untouched, should I not get any work will see me through to 2020,, Now I’m not one for wishing my life away, but the sooner the new year comes the better! In all of my adult working life, I don’t think I have ever had a worse year than this one! So I was probably due one, but it’s still been a nightmare,, and even though I think that,, I still see everyday, people worse off, and struggling to survive,, So in a way, it’s a pretty humbling experience! And I have learnt a few lessons that I will never forget!!

Now, I’m supposed to be working tomorrow, but I also was supposed to be working today, till I got a text at 6.30 this morning telling me that I wasn’t! After waiting two weeks for the job to start,, So I’m going to crash out now!

that is about it for an update,, it’s nice to be back,, I did miss you all,,,

Great that you’ve got the means to survive till after Christmas, and then you can have a push to get yourself out there.

Look after yourself and keep posting.
 
Good to see you back Ian, missed you’re posts, hope things pick up for you, building game is so unpredictable been there, anyhow take care and we wish you every success from now and the New Year.
 
Nice to hear you are ok Ian. Having been self employed in the building industry for 35 years I feel your pain of how it can be sometimes. Keep your chin up Ian and things will work themselves out in the end.
