Had a similar thought as above, is your van parked on the level, fridges can be a bit sensitive to being on a slope. Mind you if it's not lighting at all then that is probably not the problem. If not working on electric hook up are you sure it's not where you are plugging into that has a fault, worth checking with something else and check for reverse polarity.
We sold a van to someone a couple of streets away and they rang up a week later complaining that the fridge wasn't working. We went round and there it was on a sloping drive, the gas burning away but the fridge wasn't getting cold, "But we have tried it on the hook up too" they said. Colin tested their socket in the garage and it was wired up wrong (self installed a few days before!). He levelled the van and the fridge started to cool down, he also retired the garage socket for them.
Not sure how they got on after that as they were probably too embarrassed to call again.
